I have been labelled a troll by a small, seemingly inter-connected group on here an accusation which I find offensive. I have strong dislike of internet trolls. From behind the relative safety of their keyboards they tend to insult, bully and abuse, for no good purpose, other than to attempt at upset and to cause grief through self amusement they get their kicks out of making trouble. I despise such negative behaviour, and have in the past been far too tolerant as to label anyone on here a troll. However I have tired of trollish behaviour directed at me because the in crowd say they do not know me!

We can do without trolls. They do harm to Target 1000 and feed negativity into this forum, which could be far more dynamic and inclusive if wider input was actively encouraged. Trolls do not understand the purpose of a discussion forumthey tend not to think that if you dont agree with them, then thats where the discussion starts.

I have supported Welling since the early 90s and first posted on the forum in 2005but to a troll that means nothing other than that I am not welcome. What chance for Welling United, when trolls attack through their keyboards at virtually every opportunity, promoting a lack of unification amongst the support base?

We also have a troll with hundreds of posts. They must be good trolls to some as people seem to think they support Welling. Nobody knows ANY of these trolls. They do not go to Welling regularly. They do not support Welling and all they post is negativity. I am amazed at the tree hugging pc brigade that read it and get taken in by it on a consistent basis. We cannot all be sensible and intelligent though.

These comments come from a person who considers himself as sensible and intelligent, a person who has probably stood within a few feet of me in the Wings bar a person who thinks attending 11 home matches so far this year does not make a Welling supporter!

Come on Kevin, its Wellington Boot...You know the score, print his posts off and wipe your arse with them in the khazi that way they are of some use.

Same poster enough said.

Well said Bertie. Maybe you can tell Wellington Boot and the other trolls to fro.

Not really sure about that one!

Here are several long standing Welling fans that think you are a Dartford fan. I don't know you and no one I know from Welling does either.

I replied to this poster, politely as is the norm, thinking that he might talk with his friends and that the nonsense would cease.

The next one is a classic i've never seen you post something positive.

What utter nonsense, blinkered vision no doubt, unable to differentiate between constructive criticism and negative trollism. Later when challenged as to whether treating certain posters with negativity damaged Target 1000 and discouraged people from attending matches I'll just get your coat.... was the response.

It may be that none of these posters know me thats fairly typical for forums, but the most elementary of research could have shown that I have been a supporter for some time, brought new people to matches, donated programmes to the programme shop, encouraged sponsorship. There are many decent people who go to Welling. However, I now have no desire for some of those who have been disrespectful on here to know meI may know of them, but their unnecessarily unpleasant behaviour means I want nothing to do with them. To date I have refused to be bullied off hereor indeed away from supporting Welling, but there does come a point when it is perhaps intelligent to know when you are wasting your time and when you are not welcome, labelled a negative troll, by an small group, who have chosen to dislike someone, simply it would seem, because they have all agreed together that they can!

If we cannot learn to be more inclusive and tolerant as a support basewhat chance Target 1000?

This could be the Post of the millennium.... .

I haven't read it all as it looks a boring I am not a troll post lol...  BUT.. from the couple of lines i read...

1 i do not go in the Wings Bar

2 the OVERWHELMING majority of your posts are negative and are all there for all to see. (little welling, how can "we" stay up, how can "we" beat them etc etc). You always pop up when there is a negative thread and add to it...  If you are a Welling fan my name is Davy Jones. Your posts belittle the club, the team and the players and you sir are a troll.

Quality post, superb.
