Jesus Christ. It's pre season! I seem to re-call the year we won the league having an awful pre-season.

Lewington didn't play today and we had a brand new back 4 with several changes. With 18 new players from last year, they need a while to gel! We were also playing a team in the league above. Use your brain. If we are playing like this after 5 games I will be concerned, but until then it's all a learning experience.

Clueless

We looked a mite off the pace today compared with Bromley, but I suppose that is to be expected if Bromley train more frequently than us.

First of all I think Bromley looked a decent outfit. They kept the ball and moved it much better than we did.

We were floating passes around when the conditions dictated that we should have fizzed it around much quicker. We had nobody to put their foot on it and play some simple passes - Healy can't come back soon enough.

Good to see Parter get a run out second half although surprised it wasn't at full back?? Can't fault the effort of our lads especially PJD who I thought put in a good shift whilst he was out there.

We were comfortably beaten by a decent side but far too early to push any panic buttons for me.

Up the Wings!

I think your reaction to the original post is a bit harsh. If you didn't see that it was a pretty awful performance today then you are wearing rose tinted specs. I don't want to hear " let's see where we are after five games" ****e. We heard that last season. We need to be ready from minute one of the new season. On that performance Pre season or not we are far from being ready. If you respond to this post please don't call me clueless because we're all entitled to an opinion.

I also thought we were poor, but also that Bromley were so much fitter and a yard or so quicker. We will have to play with far more intensely when the competitive matches start. I'd also expect us to perform from the first match, not the 6th!

But there were positives out there and there is still time to get things right.

I don't think it was too bad in places...but I also think a few things need to be rectified quickly.

With only two games left of pre season I would like to see a bit more legs in midfield, I don't think the formation suits us. I noticed even against vcd we were stretched in centre midfield. 5 3 2 with the players we have or 4 1 2 3.

Another thing and this has been every game so far, And surely must of been picked up on the game recordings is our marking out wide.

Our left and right midfield no matter who it had been is so far away from the opposition full back it unreal, they seem to be doubling up on the opposition winger and allowing the full back to run free and it's the most baffling thing I've ever seen.

Not great today but there were a few positives. Our keeper pulled off a few good saves first half (bit shakey the 2nd), Christie looked good again and we did step the pace up a bit second half. Bromley looked very good and certainly no shame losing to them, especially when I'm pretty confident we can play much better ourselves.
