We were better under Fazackerley for awhile and a level higher.

Can't say I've been impressed with what I've seen this season but accept it'll take time.

We were?? I must have missed that 10 minutes of football?!

I repeat we stayed up because Alfreton were s**t and not because of anything Faz & CO achieved (12 points in 11 games)

On that basis that we did survive they were given the nod for the following season (and in some respects I can understand why) but that was the first of many many mistakes that season.

Well we were certainly a level higher!

There were performances during the survival run (two at home spring to mind as well as Alfreton away) that were far superior in my view to the games I've seen this season which have barely excited me at all.

I spoke to Jack in the bar after the game, he was pretty genuine about how much that result hurt and was also a bit concerned about the level of abuse coming from the stand after the game but things were soon sorted out. Watching JC's interview you can also see how much the result and performance affected him. People on here looking at the ref's performance and past managers won't explain away anything - we were second best and as JC said in his interview 'it's been coming'.

It's up to the manager now to work out why apart from the obvious reasons (loss of Goldberg & Bradbrook).

Too many loans players? Not the right eyes on the bench? Players not following instructions? Whatever it is I don't think it's all doom and gloom as we've shown some decent football at times and I trust JC & JP to put it right. Our academy team is also long overdue, options will come from there at some point I hope.

We were crap but had managed to force our way back in to the game. The most concerning thing to me is that, on missing the penalty, we seem to have gone 'Oh well we aren't going to win this then'. You are still level, for heaven's sake!

You have the manager and assistant manager on the pitch. Surely we have to be able to keep people mentally switched on and positive, when we are still level. Player for player, of all weeks, they should be basically good enough if we have done our recruitment right, anyone can have a bad day (and the majority did) but you can compensate with your attitude and application. It was there at Braintree, worrying that it can appear to go so badly missing when it might have seen us through to fight another day.

Well...if we can get a response and a result Saturday it will say a lot about how the team felt about it too....Havant away should be a whole lot harder than Haringey at home....we will see....I am going on Saturday certainly expecting some sort of upgrade....

Crowd sizes are plumetting too....no longer the normal 500

I agree crowds aren't great, but we actually had 329 at home (4 more), a round later last year...
