There will be one change at the back as I believe the skipper is suspended tomorrow.

That's a blow. It means a change to the formation at the back.

Hopefully just personnel and not formation. Far too often in the past we've had one or two players out and ended up making three or four personnel and/or tactical switches to compensate.

If it ain't broke....don't fix it - we have a couple of options who can ably deputise.

Interesting game this. Top of the (Form) table clash over the last six home and away matches. They have five draws and one defeat in their last six aways. So it looks like they keep it pretty tight away from home.

Very poor tackle from Jefford. Brainless.

Couple of poor decisions from Jefford. Backed off too far for the first goal then dived in for the Red Card.

Great second half attempt to nick the draw with our 10 against their 12 men.

Kick up the arse maybe?
Played better with 10 than 11
Bradbrooke doesn't make my first eleven.
All the time you have a target man, you are going to look for a high ball into him.
With the opponents playing a flat defence, surprised Nanetti never got a start.

Once again the most influential guy on the pitch was the ref!!

we had some good chances but didn't really test their keeper

we certainly looked brighter with 10, and with Goldberg and Nanetti on the pitch.

Played well after going down to 10 men, the ref was a joke.

Shame the way we started and also a real shame how the ref started (and finished). Not sure why Jefford had to go in considering where the ball was. Thought the pen was soft but well done to the lads for the 10 man fight back. At least showed some spirit.

Poor performance by us-never used the Wingers all first half and were second to every ball....Bradbrppk never won a ball until second half ??.....agree we were better side with 10 men....Ref was inconsistent yet again.....dust ourselves off.....their manager needs a sock putting in it...coaching them as if they were an Under 11 team......and if they 2nd team in league form wise then its all good.......if we bounce back and play our football

Thought Wealdstone deserved the 3pts overall. We had a good first 5 minutes but then they were better for the rest of the 1st half let's be honest. I couldn't see clearly enough what the Penalty was about but that along with the stupid sending off put the tin hat on it. Well done to the 10 men for clawing a goal and a bit of pride back. All in all they out scrapped us. I thought they were a decent side. Onwards and upwards. COYW

hope I have seen the worst ref ever but I doubt it. Wealdstone were strong but not unbeatable. I think we started with the wrong team. Why not Nanetti and Godberg from the off. We also were playing too much in the air and it was evident in the first few minutes that the ball on the ground would bring dividends. Better with 10 men and with a bit of luck 2-2. They should keep smiling though as this was a tough 90 mins and they will get more space against other teams.

I'm not going to waste any more time complaining about the ref but suffice to say that if we have him again then we must assume we are playing against 12.

I thought we missed Nanetti on the left to stretch the midfield. Richards both with and without the ball kept drifting into an already compact central midfield.

Goldberg coming off the bench works well weather we are winning, losing or drawing. There will always be more space for him later on when games get stretched.

Hopefully we can bounce back next week at St.Albans who seem to have been on a bit of a poor run of late.

I too think the referee was s**t but not biased and he certainly didn't cost us the game. There was more cuddling and holding in the first half than an episode of Strictly but instead of bleating about it, we have to adapt far more quickly and learn how the referee is going to interpret these "challenges" and react accordingly.

Outside of the first 10 minutes and, after we had gone down to 10, Wealdstone were the better side. The main difference for me was the wide players on both teams. In the first half they pushed our two wide players back and had clearly done their homework on Monakana and often doubled up on him. Contrast that to their wide midfielders who appeared to have the freedom of PVR in the first half. Gayle looked very uncomfortable positionally and often didn't know whether to stick or twist. Jefford gave the bloke on the other side far too much time and space - if he had backed up any further for the cross that led to the first goal he would have been in Danson Park?! Maybe our wide players could have helped out a bit more defensively as well. Having seen the size (or rather the shape) of their number 5 I might have been tempted to go with Phipps and/or Goldberg from the start and we didn't really expose him nearly enough during the game.

The game was almost over in the second half where two bits of bad decision making put us 2 goals and a man down. I was a long way away from the red card incident but the intent which Jefford showed in the challenge gave the referee every opportunity to show a red card. As others have already said we should give our lads great credit for not throwing the towel in and they showed plenty of character in the last half hour.. Wealdstone looked very panicky in the later stages and Jeffrey finally started to have some impact on the game and had it still been 11 v 11 we might have even salvaged a draw.

We weren't a great side when we won 6 in a row and, by the same token, we are not a poor side because we lost one game. On to St Albans and hopefully a positive reaction.

Up the Wings!

It is interesting that the highlights are not yet up on the National League web site.  Are the club waiting for the referee's report before considering appealing the red card?

If the appeal goes in a statement from the lineo who didn't even flag for a foul, despite being only a few feet away, would make interesting reading.

A lot of refs tell the lino that he alone will make decisions apart from throw ins and offsides. He might ask opinions if there's a flare up or something but I think the ref Saturday wanted to make a name for himself (he did that alright; 4 letters starting with c).

Makes a mockery of linos being called assistant referees, considering they don't assist.

I'm not sure what it is And i won't speculate. But Tom who does the highlights put on Facebook about a delay due to them being reviewed.

I was talking to Ben in the bar, after his sending off, but while the game was still going on. Needless to say he didn't think it was a red.

If you want to see what a two footed, scissors, high tackle looks like - look at the excellent pictures from the game.

If Tom Bradbrook's leg had been planted he would be in hospital now.
