Really good all round team performance. They should have been ahead before the sending off.

Cheers Braintree.

That's for your overly-sensitive steward at your place.

Only wish Healy had gone one past you today!

As regards us, a nice win for Eric today, of course. Let's now make it a nice rest-of-campaign for him now as well.

COYWs!

Excellent performance today. We were the better team even before the red card. Just felt a Welling goal would finish them off and it certainly did as the confidence just flowed second half. MOM for me was Acheampong, he was immense. Driver free kick was superb and Jack Jebb scored another beauty. Archie continues to grow in confidence now he is getting a run in the team. Great day, well done all!

Glad we stuffed them for what they did to Healy and us and we absolutely stuffed them , no need for it what they did to us. I'm sure in some way it spurred us on. Karma.

Interesting they themselves are under an FA Investigation as a player has alleged something was said or done during a game.

Yes. Yes. 11v11 we were better and had chances to go ahead. After the sending off the game went a bit strange. They changed their shape and we lost momentum. Second half we bossed it. The extra man became obvious and the goals came. Apart from all that I thought we played very well. The best home performance for a long time 11 v 11 and after the sending off. Well done management and squad. PS. I'm old school and would of preferred a minutes silence instead of Applause for Eric. It just seems more respectful IMO.

Really enjoyed the game today. We played well on a poor surface and the score was a reflection of our dominance. Braintree were dirty and awful and got what they deserved. The goalie getting the ball on his head was a highlight and I like to think that it contributed to his error just seconds later.
The minute's applause has to happen as you never know what they away reaction will be. Eric would have looked down on that one and heard us sing his name and enjoyed the game just as much as I did.

I know Eric's family were there todsy and maybe they wanted an applause. Knowing Eric i think he would have wanted one as well.

Great performance today. I've not been Nanetti's biggest fan this season but credit where it's due today I thought he played very well. Also picking out big Ant for his performance today. The three wins have coincided with him coming back. He bosses and organises the defence and is someone i would like to see here next season.

Let's hope this run continues!

Great performance, made a change for us to come out with a bit of tempo and battle for balls all over the pitch.

Overall what we done today was nothing other than what teams have done to us far to often this season, we got at them rattled them a bit and their game just went out the window. Its what we should be doing every week.

Nanetti is infuriating, he worked hard stopped the fullback from playing from he back and looked busy, but when did he once have a positive impact in the final 3rd??? Nothing created and more often than not ended up on his arse, i though santa might of got him some new boots for Christmas but clearly not.

Next two games very winnable, so hopefully back in the hunt for playoffs.

I think you will find their keeper keeper created the second goal.

I am not Nanetti's biggest fan either but he did alright for me yesterday

In that case, and technically speaking, the road end created the second goal yesterday.

I don't think that he covered himself in glory in either game between the two clubs.

So one decent cross in 90mins, like i said he done a lot of positive things in the game but if he had more of a end product he'd be tearing teams apart.

And yes under assists for the second goal i think a certain Mr Cricket should be on the sheet!!!

He did actually put in some other decent early crosses but with only Bradley Goldberg up front, and big centre halves at the back, they were never going to cause problems therefore he had no other option but to play short passes. What was he supposed to do? Keep crossing and giving the ball away?

There have been times where his crossing has been woeful this season (not beating the first man or too high and beyond everyone) but Saturday was not one of them and I think that it is harsh to keep picking him out for stick when everyone played their part in an excellent victory.

They reported Joe Healy for trying to watch the game after being sent off in injury time and said he was abusive to the steward . FA gave Healy extra two match ban which saw him miss the Christmas games.

Ref never saw anything and FA banned Healy solely on Braintree reporting him and the word of a steward. Arseholes

Give Nanetti a break there was little wrong with his performance for once. Played with his heart and soul as usual and for once with a bit more intelligence.

Very pleased with the win on Saturday. Braintree were the best team I had seen us play this season when we stole a point there in September and, although we were of course aided by the red card, I thought we had the better of the game 11 v 11 as well. Credit to the management team by seizing the initiative and changing the formation and being more aggressive in the second half - a brave call to remove your captain but clearly the right call as well.

Much has been said about the wingers (and most know I am not a big Nanetti fan) but he did ok for me on Saturday although I would still like more from him and Monakana. In their defence they didn't really have anyone to hit with crosses a lot of the time and it would have to be a perfect ball to find the head of Goldberg. Nanetti kept things much simpler than he usually does and had much more awareness of players around him - if anything it was Goldberg who was guilty of holding on to the ball a bit too long at times. I understand with the current conditions whilst we go with two battlers in central midfield although it means we lose out a little in creativity. I am still not sure why we seem obsessed with playing two out and out wingers week in week out anyway and it was nice to see Jebb get on and score a cracker and prove that he can play in a wide position if required. I am a big fan of his not least because his set pieces are such a threat although there may be a fight between him and Driver for the next one if both are on the field..?!

A second successive clean sheet at home and a second home game where our latest keeper has been relatively untroubled. AA seems to have made a big difference not least vocally as well as having a big presence on the field - as the manager said in his post match interview the priority has to be to try and extend his and the keeper's loan for a further period.

It is frustrating now to have another blank Saturday but confidence should be high within the group after scoring three times for the third league game in a row and the goals being spread around as well. As I have said before the overall standard of the National South this season is distinctly average and there is no reason at all why we shouldn't be in the play off shake up (as long as someone beats D******* for the title as well!)

Up the Wings!
