Well I don't buy this talk of having to wait for players contracts to expire, other clubs are making moves left, right and centre.
For a manager who is going to need to win a few fans over it's not a good start really, and if the decision to not announce anything is from above him then he's already being let down.

Unless, of course, he is after league players whose contracts do end on 30th June. Otherwise, it is very frustrating - although I notice clubs such as Dover are keeping their powder dry for at least another week.

If you think we are going to sign 11 ex league players of like to have some of what your having! I Don't expect the whole squad to be signed, but you would of thought we might have signed at least 1 more player in the last 2 weeks.
Other theory is we have signed them all but everyone who has access has forgotten how to work Twitter or Facebook.

I was thinking more along the lines that he could be after one or two senior professionals from the EFL for his management back-up and coaching personnel, and does not want to show his hand with them and other potential signings until they are secured. Just guessing, I suppose, which is what most of us are doing without official news.
I'm pretty sure Steve King said he was looking at the end of June to have the first training sessions. That's next week. At the moment we haven't enough players for a 5 a side game so if we don't see some signings soon God knows. We can only presume all is in hand. SK has had a few pre seasons.

We have eight players. Four from last season, and four new ones.
Our current manager certainly knows this level (and has been successful at it as well) as he likes to remind us in almost every interview that I have read/heard.
The three amigos made the mistake of tying too many (bad) players to contracts early on and consequently had little room for manoeuvre later in the season.
I would expect he will try to go with players he knows (budget permitting) and it won't be a case of a Maidstone reserve turning up every month as we had last season....
