Enjoyable game to watch today as the Wings won 3-1. I really liked the way we lined up today with the 4-3-3 and with Mills in the middle on his own. We look to have a good shape to the side.

Special mention should go to Craig Braham Barret who looks a much sharper player than he did in his previous spell with us. The Frenchman Lghoul also looked very exciting.

A shame more could nt make it to PVR. Perhaps the club should look at these friendlies as a way of attracting new supporters with lower admission prices.

Yes an enjoyable match that certainly left me feeling positive for the season ahead, the U23s were certainly skilful, but it was men v boys at times as they were persuaded to loose posession.  But we did pass it about well at times and I felt there was already an understanding between some of our guys.

Crowd, or rather the small group of supporters, was disappointing in numbers, and could not generate much noise or atmosphere.

Ticket prices, for pre-season matches needs to be reviewed. The match today was never going to generate a big pay day so why not treat it as a promotional exercise and publisise some attractive prices?

Enjoyable game today. I thought we looked a better side today after just two games than we did in the whole of last season. Perhaps it's because we've now got a proper manager. I liked the look of several players today. Their names are still a bit of a mystery to me yet. A few rough edges but it's looking promising. COYW.

Agree enjoyable entertaining game, thought the goals for both teams were well worked and taken. As mentioned already, positive look to the team showing encouraging signs, I am assuming that Steve King has to reduce the size of the squad at some point, which is going to be difficult choices, as in my opinion all the players I have seen so far in a welling shirt have done a decent job.

Main thing I've got out of today is not only do we look like a really good squad but also Steve King is a alright bloke.
I've called him every name under the sun when we've played against him and he even recognised a couple of us and had a bit of banter about it, but the way he talks about football and his knowledge is brilliant. Never gonna get rid if the sceptics fully, but we should back him well in what is a extremely tough league.

Really enjoyed today's game. Many, many positives which hopefully bodes well for the season ahead! Mills looks a real handful.

A bit radical but these games should be well marketed and FREE or...pay what you want....get new people in....not sure it is much of a risk!

How good is King in his interviews? No wishy washy bullshiiit Also good to hear the club got a good deal for Coombes and he wouldnt have gone had the deal not been right for the club and he has players signed on a lot less than you would think ( that could still be decent money of course )

One thing about King is he gets the maximum he can get out of any situation and wont be short changed by anyone.

Friendlies are just training games so totally agree admission prices should be slashed, fiver maximum for me.

Very good interview by King, talks common sense. Makes a change from before!

While I agree about admission prices we should also take into consideration does the larger club ask us for a fee. I dont know if they do but I saw posts on Charltons forum saying that since the waffle maker took over the club they requested a fee from us. If this is true and the other league clubs coming along to PVR do the same we could end up paying out more than we get in.
