Apart from defensively we've played the better football. Dont derserve to be 3 0 down at all.

Welling certainly played the better football, but billericay played the ref and scored from their 2 chances, and from a clear penalty that was stupid to give away.

But despite the loss the performance was encouraging, I thought.

It was good and Jebb was unlucky with the free kick that hit the post. Kiernan played well.

Needs to be

Wilks

Gibbons Audel Acheampong CBB (as Archie has gone?)

Any two midfielders with legs

Kiernan, Jebb, Lghoul

Mills

And move the ball quicker in final third, we telegraph we are going wide or the full backs dither instead of whipping it in then we are open when they counter. The makings of a good side with a bit of tinkering and better decisions and taking chances, we can't keep blasting over with the goal open on a second ball in the box. The defending was abysmal, shocking penalty to give away and failure to defend two simple balls is not good enough if you want to challenge for promotion.

Kiernan was decent tonight but towards the end he tried to do it all on his own and lost the ball. Man of the match tonight though.

Our two centre backs were poor tonight. They were not communicating with one another and too often they were losing their man with simple balls over the top, such as the third goal. Up until the pen, we were far the better side. All three goals were down to poor defending. Acheampong has to start next game for me, soon as he came on he was vocal. Mills also was not on his game tonight, not aggressive enough for me when good balls were put in the box and was just generally ineffective. Not sure how he managed to not get subbed.

Full backs were solid and midfield were very good - Kissock easily the best player, always looking for the ball and making things happen.
Goldberg worked hard and dont think he deserved to be taken off.

Not really a 3-0 game but when you hand goals on a plate to a side like Billericay, got no chance.

Just said to my boy, don't think you'll ever see a 3-0 loss where you come away with so many positives

Agree with most  but think Brad huffs and puffs with no end product, also gave the ball away too many times tonight

Archie is on dual registration (Cray W I think). No Kissock in the line up? I thought he was excellent last night.

Harsh final scoreline last night and we won't meet many teams as strong as them throughout the season. The most disappointing thing for me last night was that we basically gifted them the first two goals last night which we can ill afford to do against most teams let alone one of the better ones.

Very encouraging first 25 minutes where we could (and probably should) have taken the lead. Lots of fluid movement up front and lots of nice passing as well. It's good to see the full backs joining in at every opportunity although that could leave us vulnerable to the counter attack at times. Soft penalty (although they might have had one before that?) but we recovered quite well. The second goal after half time killed it - poor free kick to concede and then poor marking. The third goal from my angle looked like a touch of class - great ball over the top and great finish - thankfully we aren't going to be facing players like Robinson, Deering and others week in week out. Was impressed with their workrate and organisation in closing the game out and have never seen Coombes work so hard on a football pitch...

Still think we can have a good season when we work out the best formation and balance for the team. I can understand that a team that wins 4-1 away deserves to start the next game so will be interesting to see who makes the starting XI on Saturday. I would have said Kiernan was probably motm although Kissock did well but we need to work out how to get players in and around Mills more often as he became too isolated the longer the game went on last night. We ended up with too many players trying to do their own thing and not moving the ball quick enough although I am sure the manager will address that. Onwards and upwards to Truro (Torquay) at the weekend where there is no reason why we can't achieve a good result.

Up the Wings!

We controlled the game for first 20 mins and had some chances. Some good performances but we have some defensive frailties which we need to at.

Disappointing overall after a bright opening.

In a game of opinions Jebb clearly our MoM for me and Audel the weak link defensively on the night.

Looking at the strength on the two benches I reckon you could have had a pretty good 5-a-side match!!!

It appears that the defence took a lot of the stick for the goals against Billericay but I'd say we really need to work on our finishing during training. If we'd taken 25% of the chances we've had during the Eastbourne and Billericay games our goal difference would look a lot better.

Re. defence we weren't much better up front!

Midfield was ok but ultimately didn't lead very far other than first half set pieces.
