Which now paves the way for West Ham to escape any points deduction

Try getting a decent club secretary for next season.

Why do the FA bother handing out punishments if they just change their mind at the first time of asking?
Rules are rules, we all have to stick by them if we like it or not.

The original punishment was meted out by the Ryman League not the FA and one of the rules in the League rule book is the right to appeal to the FA against any punishment thought to be unfair.  The FA appointed an independent 3 man panel to review the punishment and, having considered all the facts, reduced the points deduction to 3.

I do hope you are as amenable if the circumstance surrounds another club and an appeal on their behalf denies you promotion or relegates you. Or would that be 'unfair'?
