A special day, With the connections between Barry Fry, Graham Hobbins and John Glover. 3 People with a love for Welling United all connected via Welling and Bedford. Fry and Glover were at Bedford and Fry and Hobbins were great friends and we all know Mr Welling United and also John Glover.
Lets hope on this day that brings us all together that the Wings can fire us back up to a promotion spot.

It aint over but we are possibly 14/1 to get in play offs and 50/1 to get promoted as it stands. 2 weeks ago we were odds on to get in play offs.
From being in our own hands 2 games ago with 3 games left against teams who have struggled at the bottom all season, we now need the prayer mats and more than one team to have bad results.
Lets get as big a crowd as we can to PVR next saturday to show Ade and the lads that we appreciate what they have achieved this season irrespective of whether we are out of contention for the play offs or not.

I am sick gutted and deflated, we need to get sorted admin wise because its cost us badly this season, every one can see that. we need to shape up big time.
well done to all the playing staff and first team managers, your effort is appreciated. would be nice to see some commit and sign for next year in the next week. and if adie says in press he is staying or we will be in limbo all summer.
Oh well thats that for another season i would like to thank the management team and wish them luck i would like to thank Keds and wish him luck plus the players who are not here next season good luck and thanks.
Side note yesterday we sang for 95mins non stop and i have lost my voice
I know the end to this season has been disappointing, but who'd have thought during the Parker reign that we'd come close to the play-offs 2 years running?
We need to get behind the management and squad next season, whoever they are!!!
Disappointing end to season (2-2 against a well relegated team is c*"p) as we have been up there virtually the whole way through. It's out of our hands now which is particularly galling but lets at least finish on a high with a decent win. To be fair I think we would struggle if we went up anyway, if you look at our defeats the statistic is high for a 6th placed team which either shows a weak league or one that is hotly contested - not really sure of the answer!
We need to look forward to next season and build on what is relative success, new players/contracts for those good enough and some bloody floodlights!
