Not obsessed i said all along the owner is incompetent at running the club, doesnt invest in it and doesnt want to go up. there is NO ambition and off the pitch we are awful. (i seem to be proved right all the time)

You might accept it and toe the line, i dont.

Why not post who you are and then debate that i am wrong.

Why do you have to know who I am in order to debate?  In order to keep you happy, you can call me Doctor Who and I could register as that, but what difference would it make?

I am entitled to my opinion, and although we have had quite a good season, a new manager who realises that football is a passing game, and not kick and rush, may be a good thing.................

No disrespect to Adie, but those long balls!  What did they produce recently?

Barrie started the club, owns it and you have no control over that.  Give up trying to have an influence.

I am not being abusive to you, as you are to others mind.  Are you qualified, having seen no recent games, to even have an opinion on management/ownership.  And if you never go near PVR again, would that make a difference to the budget.

I am quite new to this site but you seen very bitter - get over it.

I believe that the Club needs a new owner to progress.

Although Barrie has done a wonderful job over the years, he would be the first to admit that he does not have the financial capability to progress the Club.
Due to the death of Graham, I believe that Barrie needs assistance, both financially and administratively, in running the Club.

As we do not own the Ground and, consequently, it cannot be sold to a Builder, I do not see why new Directors cannot be recruited to the Board to add some financial clout to the Club.

I believe that Barrie should always remain as a Director of the Club in view of the tremendous amount of work that he has carried out for the Club since it was founded.

The future of the Club is the most important point to bear in mind during this emotive subject!

I could not agree more with the last post. Welling Utd exists thanks to the tremendous work over the year by the Hobbins family. Those who support Welling owe them a debt of gratitutude. The amount of work they put into this club is immense. I do however feel that the club is now at a crossroads without Graham it may well be too much for Barrie and he does need support to reinvigorate the club or he needs to consider whether new owners would be of benifit to everyone. Adie is an excellent manager and I feel that if he had more support from the hierarchy he was the man to take the club forward. He is a talented and ambitious individual and I believe that he felt the club did not match his ambition so he has decided to move on which is entirely understandable. This leaves Welling at the cross roads and it will be interesting to see what route the club takes in the future.

It's a difficult one. Just look at Boston United. Now we were rivals to them at one time, they went friom strength to strength, and now may be about to fold.

If Welling did get promoted to the Conference, they would be up against clubs like Oxford, Exeter, Torquay. The move up could put the club at risk ... what to do?
