I feel a brief comment is needed.

I have had a bit of a pop at Gary on here but this is mostly to do with an issue away from the Youth which he now knows of. My point with the youth, and i have been screaming for years we need a youth set up and then started the youth section on here to give it publicity... is

The Club do not put a penny towards the youth set up and have just in name joined with Kingsmoor but run under Welling United. I believe it isnt the way to do things. i am Aware now of some of the work that goes on totally unpaid by several people in the Youth Set up.

Technically they may be developing the set up, However funding from the club would enable the Youth Set up to develop. I am also aware that hundreds of the youth players do indeed have season tickets, we just need to get them to the games.

I am aware there are a lot of changes planned and possibly some good news for next season. And that all of those who run Kingsmoor/"Welling" Youth are trying to do the right things.

I still believe if the club are to have a youth team it needs to be funded, developed and overseen by them.

I would also hope that Neil Smith will have the senior youth team training with the first team like Adie did and go and watch them like Adie did. And bring them through like Adie did. Neils advice and input would be as much a help as Adies was.

So sorry if Gary felt it was a direct "attack" on him, Jim and the other volunteers , i do have issues which he knows of now STILL but that is away from the youth set up.

Good luck to all the Youth teams for next season. Just a bit of finance would be nice, Can Barrie Wallis not get a little deal from somewhere? At the moment they pay for everything themselves and money for Kit, Pitches, Training Fee etc doesnt come cheap.
