Following the decision of Farnborough to drop two levels, Hayes were reprieved and would have taken their place in the Blue Square Southern. Hayes and Yeading have however announced today that they will merge to form one team with games at the old Hayes ground. The conference have approved the merger and FA approval should follow shortly. This should mean that Weston will no longer be relegated unless the Conference decide to spare one of the Nothern division sides.
I would certainly hope that if the merger is ratified by the FA that it is WSM reprieved and not Scarborough since both sides were in the Conference South. However, I wouldn't rule out a Scarborough reprieve since they were only relegated because of their 10 point deduction. Historically there has been movement between Northern and Southern Divisions and we could see the return of a side such as, dare I say it, Kettering to the Conference South

Just looked at the Hayes and Yeadings fora - it would appear to have come as a bit of a shock to both of them. Hayes seem more upset and talking about protest.
According to the Weston site they have been offered a provisionally been offered a place in the Conference South subject to the FA approving the merger of Hayes and Yeading and Westons retention.
