The first decision taken by new Fisher manager Wayne Burnett, appointed this week at the club, was to release the entire 1st team squad. Not one single player survived the cull that can only be described as ruthless in the extreme. Long serving players including the highly regarded Piper brothers (Lenny and Chris) now find themselves redundant and looking for new teams.
The players who fell foul of the new managers tough stance were Anthony Riviere, Charley Hearn, Steve Clarke, Lenny Piper, Chris Piper, Nick Davis, Paul Nicholls, Hamid Barr, Jeff Goulding, Leroy Griffiths, Ryan Martin, Luke Hickie, Gavin Heeroo, Gavin Tomlin, Antonio Gonnella, Dominic Weston, Steve Sinclair and Asher Hudson.
Fisher would like to thank the players for their efforts over the season and wish them all the best for the future.
New Fisher squad stands at 13 players. 4 from the old squad have signed new contracts, 1 from I believe Corinthian Casuals and EIGHT FROM DULWICH HAMLET. 4/5 experienced signings expected next week.
Not forgetting of course 1 Chairman and 1 Manager from Dulwich Hamlet.
