Paul how many pylons are there now and how many were before? How many bulbs on each Pylon? What is the lux value now compared to before?

Have the Pylons on the far side been taken down? Or just the new ones added?

Have Erith contributed? This is news we should know as what happens if anything happens on their side of the ground, are we free to just look the other way and not contribute.

Maybe you could do a piece on how Welling and Erith are living side by side, what each club is liable for, How long Eriths lease is and are they sub tennants to the Wings or the Council.

No one has truly done a feature about the two clubs. You may even get a 4 page pullout from the editor .

PS that was a decent story Paul.
But is Barrie hinting that the lights might not be upto standard? Where he says along the lines of "in someways the new lights are better than the old system" and "the big test is the charlton game"

I don' think he's hinting at anything - maybe he is a bit worried about having less lights and being a bit apprehensive is natural for anything new - and maybe it's just my eyesight failing, but I always had trouble seeing all of the game under the old lights - the whole pitch just seemed gloomy to me and I had no chance of seeing clearly what was happening up the other end

No I don't think he means that. My understanding is that he didn't think there was anything radically wrong with the previous set, it is just that these ones are better.
It is understandable as well because the old ones had been up since the early 1960s and were due to be replaced soon anyway regardless of the storm, although not admittedly this summer.
Also I think "the big test is the charlton game" means pretty much what it says and there is no reason for alarm.
The only real way to determine whether the new lights will improve things is when they have been seen in match action for the first time and that will not be until the Charlton game on July 11.
I take on board your earlier points about E&B as well. Barrie didn't mention them at any point and it is something I will ask him whenever he finally gets a decision one way or the other from the Football Foundation.

A feature in the local press on the Wings & Erith groundshare is a great idea, the ins & outs of this has never properly been explaned, all we know is that its not a traditional groundshare
