Wait till you see the results and style of play... Everyone hopes he will do a good job, We still have a half a team and talk is cheap. if he gets a decent squad, gets them fit, and they play good football then they may get good results.

It wasnt a dig at neil, Cant really praise him or dig him until the team is playing.
It was more a dont get carried away post. We are less than a week away from the first pre season and have 3 players on contract?? plus manager and coach??

I have absolutely no doubt that Neil is working his nuts off to get a team together on a very limited budget but being realistic we have only signed 6 players and there were no retained players, therefore our squad totals 6 and that includes the Manager and Coach.

There is much paper talk about the possible signing of Ian Selley Midfielder age 33 and Chris Moore Defender age 35 on 15 August.
We have 1 player under the age of 24 and no forwards. Let's hope Neil can give us some good news about improvements in these areas pretty damn quick.

We need a 20 goal striker desperately , we have had boothy and Keds over the last 4 or 5 years.... if you dont have a scorer in this league you will struggle.

Smith is a legend and was almost ever present last year. Nethercot should have a season or two in him, Chippy has said you will see the real chippy this year.
As long as the others are mid to late twenties average we should be ok, Hopefully will be a blend of youth and experience coming in now.

I don't think I've read anything of Andrew Sam recently - I think he could be good for us this year, in the last few games he made appearances for us I think he looked sharp and committed.
Agree, perhaps Neil is having a look at him and making sure he is a 100% fit this season, I think neil wants a squad of 18 ish and we cant be carrying people who are not fit. IF he is fit though i would say he is a definite for next season and could be anything.
