Did any season ticket holder have problems getting in on Wednesday?
My two old mates went in before me while I popped into the offie next door. One of my mates was walking back when I got there and said hed been turned away.
I walked up to the turnstile and was told no season tickets.
I argued that Id phoned the club and emailed them to confirm that I could get in with my season ticket and they said it was OK.
Eventually I was let through and there was a sticker on my seat saying it was reserved for a season ticket holder.
I was told by the lady on the turnstiles that some season ticket holders had actually paid to get in.
I can only imagine that maybe season ticket holders werent supposed to go through the turnstiles but through the gates. Whatever the arrangements were, it wasnt handled very well and Im sure there were a few very p**sed off supporters on the night.
Went with my dad and went in through the gate which had a large sign up saying season ticket holders and ticket holders through here. Turnstiles were to be used predominantly by people paying on the night.
Just sounds like you had a western mate, the club did as much as they needed really.
I used my season ticket (seat) and went in through the car gate. However, I then found out that I was also supposed to have a match ticket and therefore wasn't able to have a seat. Thanks to Barrie he got me a seat in in the old stand. Bit of a mis-understanding - tuesday against Ebbsfleet should be ok, but what about the West Ham match, will we all need tickets then
I wasn't sent a match ticket and was simply told I could get in with my season ticket. Hopefully the'll have sorted out the arrangements before we play West Ham.
