Mathew Panting, Kent Online, reports that Des has been released - out of contract so more a case of so 'we don't want you' or 'we can't meet your demands' than released.
Good Luck wherever you end up Des - nobody can say that you didn't always fully commit to the cause.
He also reports that it was Andy Martin who reportedly had signed for Maidstone who appeared in the second half.
Des was one of my favourites last season but i agree with markx that he is not consistent. I thought he was solid last pre season and he worked well with daisy but as the season went on he may have lost some of his form, good luck Dessie!!
I was hoping that with Jamie gone he might rise to the occasion and dominate the mid field. Always seems a bit crowded with him and Jamie in the same side. I thogh he did alright against Charlton but clearly Neil Smith wasn't convinced.
