Hmmmm Well like stated the website not been updated for 2 years, They paid Tommy Smith nearly a grand not to turn up and have seen many people publically walk away from it *Steve Holly, Paul Pettet to name 2.
Its not been supported and its only a name change from the WPC which also failed as did the friends of welling!!
Its often thought of as a cash raking arm of the club. IF as ive heard it undergoes yet another name change./change of image etc etc. Whats the point?
Its achieved nothing in what 5 years?? Is run by the club, anonymous, no one has a scooby what if anything its paid for and it achieves nothing.

I think not after having attended the last meeting to see for myself (a belated thanks to Claire and co for making me welcome despite my known views). I got a very positive impression of it being a committed group of people who have put their hands up to having made mistakes and having had poor communication but they are endeavouring to improve within the limited resources they have available to them. Certainly I expect their profile to increase with the new arrangements for the website which should see the light of day in the very near future.
Steve Holley is still very much involved though not as Chairman.
I'm afraid though I still have a fundamental difference of opinion regarding the need for financial accountability be that as part of the Club or as an independent group of fundraisers which I have expressed many times before.

If past mistakes have been made or lack of success achieved it is extremely unlikely that anything will change.
Sorry but the WPC and WSU havent received support or achieved great results, they also are not accountable to anyone, self elected and unsuccessful.
Its easy to say oh mistales have been made, who made them and given the mistakes and the past it would re affirm my beliefs that the people involved who self elected themselves are not the way forward along with the structure and running of the WSU.
Spud you wouldnt have a vested interest would you? Try looking at the facts rather than biteing at critiscm.

Lets also concentrate on the main objective by the association which they stated was to provide funding for the covering of the road end. in 4 or 5 years at least they must have raised a substantial part of this one would have thought. Perhaps Spud or his better half could let us know how much of this is sitting in an account ,. how much further needs to be raised and what the timescale is.
