Dorchester Town in turmoil off the pitch and the owner says not the most experienced players but he is looking long term.  Should be there for the taking.  Go out and do the business this afternoon lads and build on last weeks win.

Dorch board says prior to scoring we had 3 glorious chances which saw one fly over the bar and two great saves.

A much improved home performance today, although if we are going to go anywhere this season we need to be able to put temas like Dorchester away as we will face far stiffer competition.

Some thoughts?-

The back four if we can keep them together will improve, Leon had a great game and we will be lucky to hold onto him, he deserves league football. I would also make Mooro captain, he commands well and I think is a better communicater than chip. Chip though is improving and it was good to see him get through 90 mins. Lloyd is better suited to the role he played yesterday and I feel Omari will get better and better. He will score goals.

Feel we need another wing back to replace James Smith, not sure about Cotterill/Keevil yet and a better final ball from Orlando will help.

John from Sidcup-thats my thoughts what are yours(yes that means that you post under your new sign on?)

to defensive and allowed dorch back into game second half.
Cotterill is a defender and all our best chances fell to him and Blackman waste of space.
Best player this season kievel and he gets subbed a no brainer for me if we had attack dorch that was an easy 3pts

Looks like we have the players just need to get them organised etc. For someome who played 40 conference games last year i cannot believe Smudger aint playing. I feel we could be missing out.

Drop Blackman and Use one of the 2 wingers or change the system to bring in Smudger or is he saving himself for when Chippy is not playing. Good to see Chippy looking a footballer this season. He said last year he was crap and you will see the real Chippy this season. Hes started well.

Omari could be anything and looks a good signing. We have the players to do well but its time to come to the party ladies.... Lets go out and get in a few faces and kill off a few teams.

I was unable to attend, but after watching the highlights on video, it appears that we should have sunk them and claimed the three points.
One comment in another thread said that Blackman was a waste of space ( my words ) but in another ( media artical ) said that he was impressive. The chances went begging and we should have scored more.
Same old debate, do we need more quality strikers or stay as we are?

Thought we played some great football today in the first half and defended well. Not sure about Cotterill/Blackman as yet, they give the ball away to cheaply. Agree with spud cant understand why Neil played Keevil on the right as think he has been one of our best players and defo our best central midfielder so far! Ward and Coleman linked well at times and will get better, but promising performance today.

Blackman is a waste of space - poor on the ball , can't tackle, passing dubious, basically there are better players

Cynical - JGFC Mmmmmm!!! Methinks same person

I wouldnt say Blackman is a waste of space just yet but do feel that we would be a better side without him in the team. This was proved was it not when we played Cambridge City where at times we looked awesome. My first choice 11 would be: (Back five) Turner, Leon, Mooro, Sinclair, Ryan (Midfield) Chippy, Keevil, Neil Smith (Two out and out wingers) Johnson, Mucu (forward) Coleman.
This is the formation Chelsea have had their success with over the last few years an reckon it could work for us. I know it would be harsh to leave Ward out, especially the way he played Saturday, but guys something does need to be done......

I WAS IMPRESSED BY NICKY WARD ON SATURDAY, VERY INDUSTRIOUS AND LIKELY TO SCORE (FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN HIM) AND HE SHOULD NOT BE LEFT OUT.   WHERE WOULD THE GOALS COME FROM IF HE DID NOT PLAY AS WE CANNOT RELY TOTALLY ON OMARI WHO HAS STARTED WELL.   I AM NOT IMPRESSED BY MUCU DESPITE THE BIG HYPE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON ABOUT HIM.   LOSES THE BALL TOO EASILY AND TRIES TO BEAT THE EXTRA MAN CONTINUALLY.
