everyone today will blame the officals and yes they were awful worse i have ever seen but after a good first half where we went in 1down the second half was awful and again our keeper needs to look at his role in there second goal. We created nowt second half and i feel like we are playing like its still pre season and it doesnt matter BUT HEY IT DOES PULL YA FINGERS OUT.
RESTED TODAY-Chippy Kievel and blackman. Why rest those 3 players? Chippy is our Captain and cant understand why you change your centre midfield when tactics are working no one has the balls or intelligence to change the formation like 2-0 down why not go for it and go 3up nah we keep it the same the whole game. Back 4 stays the same but work to be done else where.
Should have been done and dusted by half time,as we did everything but put the ball in the net. Penalty given for a shirt pull, called up by the linesman.Guess he must give at least one a week then!!!!!!!!!!!! However 2nd half was another dire performance.Same as Saturday we failed to maintain the pressure, gave away a soft goal and caved in. I know it's early days but it don't look good. Come on lads get it sorted

Why did Neil rest his best two central midfielders today in a must win game? Spoke to a Dagenham and redbridge fc representative at the game today who told me he was at the game to watch Keevil and Leon. Hope we dont lose these type of players due to poor management!
More Money for the Hobbins Xmas Fund no doubt when it goes to tribunal. I wonder If Barrie will give Neil a Vote of Confidence or say more money is available. Perhaps Neil can say if most are on contract or hes making it all worse by just having the older ones on contract and the best young ones on non contract. Barrie look at the results and the sides weve played, tell me how Neil will turn it round?? Save the season and boot him out, Go get Fordy and he can salvage it as other teams have come back from worse..(Margate won the Doc Martens after something like 5 losses on the trot(t) )
If you look at the situation, how the hell can we get out of it? Weve had on paper an easy start to the season. Sides we should have taken points off 9 at least would have been reasonable (not great)
We have loads of pressure on Omari, who else has neil signed to score the goals whos actually scored any.. including in pre season.
Neil to be sacked within a month is my guess , The seasons over success wise we cant get anywhere near the play offs thanks to this joker and his shambolic management on and off the pitch, He talks a good game though....
No Offence Neil but these are your players and they aint doing it, you need to realise youve had an easy start fixture wise, it dont get any better, BYE NEIL!! and take Blackman and any of your mates with you and practise your management at a Kent league side for ten years.

JGFC - Generally, I agree with most of what you post but let's take is easy on Neil Smith. He should be given until the end of October when we will have played 14 League games which amounts to one third of our total League games. If the team has not improved by then, the Club must terminate his Contract - otherwise we will be too far behind to save ourselves from relegation.
It makes you wonder how the team can play well against Gillingham, then crap against lower opposition. As well published before, we need a striker, two midfielders and perhaps a goalie that is going to be consistent........and I don't mean consistently making mistakes. Hopefully Neil is looking to address these problems and come up with the answers........if not, we will be at best mid table.
"Looks like Neil Smith is having a baptism by fire into the world of low budget non league football and I don't envy him in the slightest." bruno 23 May 2007
Neil has had to contend with having no retained players, trying to find players on a limited budget, the learning curve of the change from player to manager, and a very poor start to the season. By all accounts he is busting a gut off pitch to try and secure some improvement but the world of football is a harsh one and you are judged on results not what you have to contend with.
It has to be said that he has had a couple of months with the majority of the squad and yet we are struggling big time. I am concerned that in his post Dorchester interview he said he expects there to be some more ins and outs in the near future. There are a couple of issues namely the restriction which could apply if those on contracts are the ones he is not happy with and as many of us will have witnessed in the comparatively recent past when the desperation led 'revolving door' has been applied it has had little or no impact on results. Surely for better or worse he needs to focus on the squad he has selected.
I believe that aderley, and others before him, have identified one of the real problems and that is though we would all like to see 'pretty' football every week it is not the route to success in our, nor I believe any league. Route 1 may be ugly but it is an essential weapon in the arsenal and is applied in all levels up to and including the Premiership.
Its going to be a tough next 4 weeks with the fixtures we have and at the end of it our League season will be almost a quarter gone. Hopefully things will have improved by then but football is results driven and if they haven't improved Neil's future at PVR must surely be in jeopardy.
