Shocking second half display. Thought we played the ball well, created chances and generally had a great first half. Not really sure what happened after that.

I think we're crying out for a player in centre midfield who can control the ball and lay off some decent passes, including balls cutting through the centre of defence (thinking Jamie Day's passes through to Keds). Smith does too much running/chasing, partly because he has to, and Carpenter plays too deep. I'm sure this is the reason that the ball goes from our attack to defense in seconds. It happened so much last night. Coleman has strength and pace and needs/deserves better from midfield.

If we do insist on playing balls wide then we need to play Ellis.

I still think we're only three players short of a good side capable of the play-offs (keeper, centre mid, forward).

I feel the same - and for all the problems at the mo it isn't helped by having absolutely no luck

Not a bad first half but second half was awful. I don't think it was a matter of us playing badly second half; just a question of not changing anything.

Braintree changed things second half and we didn't.

We were 2 goals down before a sub came on and then the tactics remained the same. We don't seem to have a Plan B.

I have to agree, not a bad first half, but absolutely awful second.

I certainly agree we need a good central midfielder and a forward, I'm still not sure about JT - hopefully the confidence boost will come and he'll return to his old form.

I thought Neil played ok on Saturday, but last night he was running around like a headless chicken making little contibution. I think we'd have been better off having Ellis , or one of the other wingers in the middle of the park - they would have contributed more (although ideally sam K).

Very disappointing, and I thought we'd started to turn a corner - but after last night, I'm not so sure.

You are 100% correct Gary H, we are crying out for a footballing central midfielder and unfortunately he has been sitting on the bench whilst Neil has been playing and I find this unbelievable!

Keevil was one of our best players at the start of the season but hasn't featured since sustaining an injury, but he has however been sub for the last month. Why?

We also need a commanding centre forward to play alongside Omari as Pugh is not the answer however hard he tried last night.

I praised Neil at the weekend but last night he clearly got it wrong again!!!

Still will be there Saturday again cheering the boys on.

Keevil has been unfit and has needed to get his head right bit difficult to play in those circs.

Havant was a good display last night poor they couldn't cope with a second game in short succession. New bloke didn't look the answer up front he's just like Nicky Ward!

With inconsistency like ours we're a million miles from the play offs and if we're not careful will be looking over our shoulders again. Depressing after the promise of the last two years.

I'm sure that we played Braintree biggrin  Just kidding Spitey.
Young Mr Pugh didn't seem to get into his rythmn, but still looked a half decent player.
I agree about the inconsistency though............we beat Bath, but lose to Braintree, Thurrock and Yeading.   confused
