Nowhere is safe from the money grabbing lawyers - be careful what you post on this forum Jgfc about people at the club!

Could equally apply to those briefing against JgFc.

In order to win a libel case there is an onus to prove the content is incorrect and that would involve opening the running of the club to public scrutiny. I'll leave you to decide if that is likely to happen.

Finally, where does this leave anonymous posters Bruno?

I await further developments with interest not only to see the outcome but to see if 'Mickey Mouse email addresses' (of which there are a few registered on this forum) are involved which will drag the ISP's into the matter.

In my 18 months as moderator I have had one official complaint from the Club and that was sorted without the involvement of lawyers.

As far as anonymous posters go they are a distinct pain for many reasons, however, without going to a lot of bother there is no true anonymity as the news item points out.

I'm curious now - any chance you can let us know what it was?

In a word No but what I will say is that it revolved around posters ensuring that they made clear that they were expressing their opinion and not making allegations.

What happens when you have someone documented calling you a trouble making bastard also slandering you to directors of another club with several witnesses? can you sue them for that or when someone is aloud to update a site but not someone else can you sue them for discrimination?

Ive got many many things i could fire back but .... Im not that petty. the thing is ive offered a live interview to Graham, then barrie and also posted many questions and points aimed at the club, none have been answered and they have always had the right to reply. I personally dont feel ive said much out of order. The club arent exactly PR gurus and whiter than white in this regard either, IN MY OPINION
