What a great result!!!!!!!!!   OK, so the first half wasn't pretty, but did we play well for the last 45 minutes. Great turn around for the boys and a fine display.
It was good to see young Andy Pugh get on the scoresheet with two well taken goals.........well done mate, you deserved it  smile
The atmosphere at PRV today was excellent - especially with loads of the youth team players there & lots of Bromley supporters. It made for a great afternoon out.........well done both sets of fans !!!!
Three downsides............Ellis & Chippy both getting injured.  Let's hope that the injuries aren't too serious. It was certainly good to hear the applause for both players after they were subbed..........well done Wings fans for recognising their contribution to the game.
The other downside was the ref.........I thought that if your arm / hand touched the ball, then it was handball..........Bromley got away with murder on that score.
The last downside....Jamie Turner.   He had a nightmare. I've seen him so many times training with JS & he looked good...........until match time.  Today, he could have cost us the game. Ok, he did make a few good saves, but lets be honest, we need a reliable keeper.  High ball crosses towards him......forget it cry

Classic 100% polyester - wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you are a careless smoker, also a snugger fit than in recent years - would certainly highlight a beer swollen belly. Not sure whether they are worth honey but at £28 they are a bit of a bargain. I would go for it. Are there any plans for childrens shirts? My 4 year old is desparate for a Welling shirt.

I thought we played very well today in the second half - Pugh having looked lightweight up front in my opinion suddenly looked as though he could be very useful. Ellis and Robbie Ryan were both excellent. I though JT did ok today to be honest - I suspect you are always going to get the odd shaky moment with keepers at this level which is why they are keepers at this level, their mistakes just get noticed more readily than outfield players.

It was a good atmosphere despite the place being overrun with youngsters - it was also very strange standing near people in Welling coats saying they had never been to a match before. Hopefully what they saw will encourage them to come back.

I thought the ref was pretty good today - not too fussy. I couldn't believe how often Bromley strayed offside. I'm looking forward to the return match already.

Just watched the video on http://www.wellingunited.com/season0708/bromleyhome.php and must say we did deserve the win.

Well done lads.

I thought the ref had a good game too. Apart from missing a half dozen hand balls. He kept the game going and all credit to him. I'd like refs like that every game.

First half we had most of the possesion but didn't have much of a clue. Second half was excellent. A cracking match with 4 good goals.

I though JT had a quite a good game and agree, you'll always get a few mistakes from any goalie at this level.

It'll be interesting to see what team lines up against Wealdstone. I noticed Muko running around on Saturday. I would think he'll be a definate if fit. All of Saturday's subs will play as well as maybe Nethercot and Smith.

I thought too it was good today

JT I afraid still flapped a bit too often for me but made one fantastic save

Which is the real Welling - the one we saw yesterday or the other one - I don't know

I think we are getting better though!!!

JT deserves some support he did nothing wrong yesterday. Can't believe the negative vibes continually surrounding him on here though it's hardly surprising considering the hysterical standard of many contributions to Football Forums these days. Re. JT more aimed at Cynical than you Mark, to say JT had a nightmare is ludicrous and a load of old crap. Bit like recent talk of the defence, way over the top and inaccurate as proven yesterday.

I never liked Neil Smith as a player before Saturday, but he was excellent and would not let Bromley's midfield play.

I like that fact that we actually played through the midfield on Saturday and didn't just hoof long balls. Let's hope we continue like that.

My take on the match was that it was a deserved 3 points earned. It was another game of 2 distinct halves but the significant difference was that we were able to reflect the 2nd half control of the game by finding the back of the net 3 times and it could easily have been more.

JT has come in for more flak from some posters but I'm sure that this game will go some way to restoring some of the confidence which in my view he had lost. I have said it before and I will say it again he is not a bad keeper at this level as the last 2 seasons have shown. Clark Masters record was not much better and he is good enough to make the Brentford team!

The first time I had seen Andy Pugh and I was impressed with his contribution. Lets hope that the Gills want him to get regular starts and we can secure his loan for more than the one month.

We are by no means out of the woods yet but we have reached what must have been the first target for Neil by managing to pull 5 points clear of the relegation zone. The key issue for me has to be the securing of a partner for Omari, who worked his socks off yet again on Saturday, be that Andy Pugh on a long term loan or the signing of a proven goalscorer.

I didn't say that JT wasn't a bad keeper, I merely stated that in my opinion, he didn't play that well on the day. I like him, he's performed really well over the past two seasons, but he is looking a bit shakey at the present.
The ref did have a good game, but he didn't notice quite a few of Bromleys handballs..........and one of Smudgers smile
Spitey, I don't remember having said about our defence.........midfield lacks a bit, especially when Chippy came off.
We were the better side on the day and deserved all three points.

JT Did have one "mare" where he watched the ball bounce all around him. Montague, Quintyn scored for us , did they not? Where are they? What if Pugh goes back to Gills, do we just get yet another loan signing? He looked excellent on th highlights a really good little striker. Lets see if he continues to perform like that before orally stimulating him .

Point taken JgFc but the understanding between him and Omari was very evident and on that alone a long term loan could potentially see us rack up a decent tally of goals and points.

If Neil thinks Pugh is upto it then a long term loan would seem a good move. His positioning off the ball, eagerness and finishing would merit him being signed.

I was really pleased with saturday, the first half wasn't great but better than many of our recent bad halves, and the second half was good.

My main concern is is Pugh is doing a job for us he'll be recalled as Monty was...
