Quality, and gives me great confidence that he will turn it around. You can just tell that he has aces up his sleeve both tactically and in personnel.
We should give Neil more time. Its only ppor luck that has seen us get a handful of points against the worse teams.
I would love it, just love it if we went and beat Basingstoke Town!!!
WERE ON THE MARCH WITH SMUDGERS ARMYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WERE ON THE WAY TO THE RYMAN LEAGUE AND WE'LL REALLY SHAKE EM UP COS WE'LL NEVER COME BACK UP UNDER SMITH WE ARE AN ABJECT FOOTBALL TEAM
(Go on sing that behind the goal next week)
Give Neil more time Barrie, He deserves it and clearly shows that acceptable performances are around the corner.

Was that also, Neil's first dig at the club "limited resources" .
He also didnt come across with any passion, or real belief he will sort it. Same old "i will demand this or that" but weve heard that 100 times before.
JgFc's Betting
Neil to go before Jan 2nd 2/5 Neil to be here Jan 3rd 7/4
Also is there anyone on here that actually thinks Neil should stay? More and more people seem to be saying enough is enough and there isnt too many thinking Neil can or will turn it round.
Who is still behind Neil?

In the programme Paul Carter said he had written to one of the non league Newspapers to refute their comment that Neil Smith was under pressure. This total lack of respect for the supporters is shocking, This message board is full of cries for him to go - all the talk at the games is when he will go - that to me equals pressure. For the club to write to the press to say he is not under pressure shows a total disregard for the supporters who watch them week in and week out and pay their wages,
I haven't heard anyone, outside those running the club, who think he should stay. Mark X has been quiet recently too.
Smith through no fault of his own is clueless. Also i know the pitch took a battering with rain but the pitch looked like it is already missing the tender loving care Colin gave it. Worrying times for this club
chelwing, I haven't seen the item in the programme but on the face of it I'm not sure why you are surprised. The repudiation is in line with the item in the Messenger (kentonline) after the 2nd defeat at the hands of Wealdstone which recognised that the fans were calling for Neil to resign but went on to say "Neil has only had three and a half months in the job and we are happy to give him more time." With a win and 2 draws (albeit against fellow strugglers) since then it would be difficult for the Club to do an about face.

I am not sure that I fully agree with this anon post. "Smith through no fault of his own is clueless." He has to take some responsibilty - he applied for the job - obviously convinced the club he could do a job, and takes a wage from the club. If he was decent he would walk.
As to the pitch - I totally agree - Everyone I spoke to before the match thought it looked the worse we had seen it in years. With more rain forecast - the fact we have 3 home games in the next couple of weeks, plus the lodgers playing on it, it does look worrying. Shows the importance of a proper groundsman.
E&B have played the last 3 tuesday nights; the rain prior to the game (and then during) was shocking - i'm not sure you can blame the weather or the matches on the new groundsman I heard Leyton Orient's pitch did not look too clever on Saturday?
Any pitch will look in a sorry state after being played on in the rain when it is already very wet. No E&B midweek fixture this week and given a few dry days the pitch should look reasonable by Saturday.
