"There was a definite improvement from the Wings on recent performances, but they need to somehow change their luck in front of goal or they will be continuously looking over their shoulder in months to come."
Sums our current position up rather well in my view. The problem is we shouldn't be relying on luck. FFS if we can't get a proven striker in to score goals from open play we have got to work on dead ball plays and if we've been doing that and still can't score then we truly are doomed.
Our situation reminds me somewhat of the Salisbury City side in the 2001/2 Southern Premier. I thought they were one of the better footballing sides in the division but they finished the season holding up the rest because they only managed to find the back of the net 36 times.

Keds only managed 5 goals in his last 4 months at PVR but there were only 3 games during that period when we failed to get on the scoresheet.
Just trawled back over the last 10 years results and our longest run of games without scoring was when we had a run of 3 matches which started at the back end of August 2002 and there have only been a handful of times where we have failed to score in 2 consecutive matches.

i wouldn't say it's just goalscoring at the moment. The quality of the loan signings since the Bromley game has been poor and i doubt many loan players can slot into a team on such poor form and have any effect.
I can't see the club would want any change of manager till the start/middle of January and by then - who knows? (apparently miracles do happen at this time of year).
