Have to say what a kin shambles!! In the mire and we cannot advertise due to the timescale then look like we take the best part of a month to appoint someone.
What a complete and utter fiasco. Smudger had been under the cosh for ages and your not telling me that the Hobbins hadn't considered a replacement ages ago. In previous threads, others have stated that we should have advertised the job, whilst others said that word of mouth through the grapevine was sufficient. I for one thought that both had their merits, but surely you had to advertise? What are the Hobbins waiting for.....the right ' Yes man ' to come along, pay him bugger all and expect miracles. Then, when that doesn't happen, sack him? I know that we have to get behind the team and new manager, but this is a shambles.
It was not advertised. Now the appointment is delayed a further 10 days (at least?) Reeks of bad administration. I cannot believe that they were not sounding out people long before Smith was sacked. Then it is hard to stomach the fact that getting on for a month after finally sacking Smith the club are still "faffing about" and dithering.
We delayed naming a Manager at the start of the season, (Who then promptly went on holiday! ). So taking your time clearly is not a sure fire way of getting the correct person in! The club need to be signing players desperately and apart from a couple that have come in (only cancelling players that have since left since Smith went) we have not added to the small squald which is barely a starting eleven.
After all of this farce, lets pray the club pick the right man.
