2-0 down early, got one back, went 3-1 down, pulled it back to 3-2 then let 3 in in the last 15 minutes.

Absolutely agree with Alan's post above on a different thread,  we got shown up today by a team who are not the best we will face in this league and we conceed six goals.

I have put my thoughts forward before but we need to consider measures that will secure decent stikers and playmakers irrespective of reasonable cost soon. If not we could be facing relegation next year which will ultimately mean lower gates, poorer standard of player on the basis that we have a lower budget and a lower esteem overall.

Someone needs to recognise the situation pretty soon and do something. I would rather spend a few bob on decent and proven individuals who can dig us out of the mire, whereever they come from and be in a negative sitauion than rather than be faced with relegation with a "well they weren't good enough" attitude but having saved a few quid

I made a 140 mile round trip from home today for one simple matter, and that was to be part of a welcoming applause for Mr Ford when he first comes out of the tunnel and into the dug out.  That was my effort, and am pretty pleased with my performance.  However most of the Welling players must hang their heads in shame tonight - to play like that when they need to impress a new boss - an absolute disgrace!

Good luck Andy, your phone bill in the next few weeks are going to be enormous!

Dickie.

Such an awful performance I wouldn't be that bothered if Ford binned the whole lot. To get it back to 2-3 then just collapse is a joke.

Turner has improved this season on last and Duku could maybe do a job with Moore?  Soloman has lost pace, Midfield - doesn't exist, Coleman looks like he's carrying extra weight, Mucu had no end product on Saturday (his shots were like back passes), Ryan (didn't play) & Carpenter should be better than they are showing us and Ellis Green was ok but was caught in possession and lost the ball too much. He was also having to track back to help out when he's the one player who should be staying out wide as he is the only option we've got when going forward at the moment.

Ford mentions fitness in his interview - that's just one aspect of this mammoth task ahead.
