Left to have an operation , normally you have an operation but stay at the club then get in the team when you are fit , dont you ? I think its more of a case of Keevil you can leave because you are not good enough , I think the fact he needs an operation had very little bearing on his future at Welling.
Mr Ford seems to have a good grasp of who is good enough and who needs to go. Keevil came with lots of expectations but sadly he never lived up to them.
Couldn't agree more, cant say its any great loss based on what he has produced on the pitch. The only positive I see apart from wishing the bloke well is that it saves on the wage bill
Sam left Welling to have an operation, I know Andy Ford wanted to keep him for a fact and was gutted to lose him! Dont think he was on a contract so it would not of been a good idea for the club to pay his wages for the remainder of the season with him not being fit for selection. I wish him well and hope to see him back playing soon.
gaz, If what you believe is the situation is right surely Sam could have agreed to not take wages for the period he is going to be out.
Leaving PVR indicates to me that either he was on contract or he knows he will not be returning. Nothing inherently wrong with either. He wouldn't be the first and I'm sure won't be the last to leave PVR in either of those circumstances.

Spot on Bruno ! IF it was a fact that Ford wanted to keep him why the hell would he leave ? Apparently hes left to have an op so he wont be getting paid , so if Fordy was as desperate as the anonymous poster says to keep him then Keevil would have gone unpaid (as he is now anyway ) then return to the club much to the relief of the supposed;y gutted Mr Ford . I think not , the bloke was useless and that was when he was fit . It makes you wonder whether the players themselves post on here !
