Where was the spirit ? Where was the committment ? Where was the leadership ? I can't recall us winning one 50/50 challenge in the first 20 minutes last night which set the tone for the rest of the game. In fact our midfield couldn't win a raffle let alone a tackle. YET AGAIN another team comes to PVR and 'plays' the officials so much better than us (How many more times are we going to see that ?!) In short too many players in this current group are physically (and mentally) weak and not up to this standard of football.
I do understand that the previous manager used up a large chunk of our total loan allocation during his stint at the club. Also I relaise that the new manager has been away during the first few weeks of his stint and has therefore not been able to influence things as much as he (and we) would like.
However the current regime has been in place for almost a month now and all we read and hear about is new faces being brought in to PVR so where are they ? I don't want to be watching Ryman football next season and, due entirely to the inadequacies of other teams, we still have a very good chance of avoiding that scenario providing we get our own house in order.
So over to you Mr Ford and Mr Handford. Talk is cheap.............lets have some action to back it up.
Ford has to undo the damage done by Smith and we have to give it time - it's still in our hands and as mentioned before it's all about that run of games against teams around us in a few weeks that will most likely decide our fate
We can avoid any nailbiting later by winning a few games now. treat them as cup finals, motivate the players. Tell them if they dont perform now they will be training 3 times a week and watching match dvds on other nights. Tell them we have to get results now to make the run in easier, 2 or 3 wins and we pull clear. Do it now! not when we are REALLY desperate.

i understand that but (im not a manager) but it must be the hardest thing to motivate a bunch of players who have won one game in 4months - i know from playing 5-a side that once you are down you are really down and it is difficult to drag yourself up again
i know part of a managers job IS to motivate players but it isnt as easy as just saying "youll have to train 3 times a week" - we need a win and a couple of results after that and then we will begin to win more games
