" Andy Ford asked to approach Steve. Steve will be on dual registration. In my view, Steve is one of the best keepers in non league football - look after him!"
Steve Williams 'retired' from the game at the end of last season after a long career in Kent football. He stepped back into the breach when Sittingbourne's keeper sustained a long term injury. He played 6 matches in a 2 month spell and they W3 D1 L2 which included 2 clean sheets.
He stepped back into the breach for 10 days in February when their then regular keeper was suspended. In that spell Sittingbourne P3 W2 D0 L1 which included 2 more clean sheets.
On paper looks like good cover for JT's absence and in my opinion certainly preferable to the U18 keeper at this critical time when experience may well count as much as ability.
