This is a small thing, but it's been bugging me for years. In the late 1990s I lived in Cambridgeshire, so mostly saw the Wings at away games. One of them was at Rushden & I remember being surprised when Welling ran out wearing a kit that was green & black stripes. The shirt sponsor was Viglen & I realised that the kit they were wearing was a Charltonkit.

It can't have been a colour clash with our own shirt as Rushden played in mainly white & why travel with a Charlton kit anyway?

Anyone got any idea why we played a match wearing another team's kit??
