I agree

I think that is huge and is based around how teams finished last year which in Non League football is ridiculous

You would think that they would not release odds until after 10 games

i would put a bet on with those odds - but whenever i put a bet on something it never wins(horses, football teams that are dead certs)

so im going to leave this one and not jinx the team before the season starts!

Andy may be good but can't see him over coming the financial might of Havant. Play offs is more likely - I see on the conference south board nobody is giving us a chance.

Adie nearly got there on Less. Fordy got last years team playing league winning stuff at the end (results wise). The budget has increased, quality players have come in and Andy has won a similar league before.

Plenty of teams have thrown a pound note at winning the league before year after year and won naff all,so i am not worried about teams like Havant.

Our Manager has enough about him to get the team giving it a right go.

33s cannot be right if you factor in the run in last season and the fact he is signing some very good players.

i reckon we should be 12s maximum. that still gives you 3/1 top 4 each way and thats generous indeed.

How does an EW bet work in football. Is it top 3 and quarter the odds?

Alan, check the terms it was each way 1-2-3-4 1/3 the odds.

heres a link to get a £25 fee bet. so if you had say £25 on welling they credit you with another £25

basically you are getting a free £25 bet on welling at 33s this way.

just sign up for a new account from the link, deposit and place your £25 bet to get the free £25 bet. if you have £5 you wont get a £25 free bet.

each way say you had 25 ew on welling and they came second you would get 8.25 x £25 back

if they win you get £25 x 33 and £25x 8.25 plus your stake back.

JGFC  -  Your post of 25 June at 11.49.   Are you getting carried away with the achievements of Andy Ford as a Manager?

I thought that Andy Ford had won the Isthmian League, Premier Division. back in Season 2001/02.   This league is surely not similar to the Blue Square South of today as you claim in your post.

Things do change but he changed last years team from losers to winners, now he has rebuilt completely. He has taken a club to the Conference.

Personally, I think this year may have to be one of transition before making a real assault on the title a year later as the players will take a while to know what their team-mates are doing.

If we get off to a good start a play off place is not out of the question.

The Conference South was created with the restructuring of non league football in the 2004/5 season and is now one of the feeder leagues for the Conference National. Prior to that the Ryman Premier was one of the feeder League for the Conference National so Fordy has indeed achieved at this level with his taking G&N to the National Conference in 2000/1.

i would go in again but one of my dogs lost again today at Crayford, bred out the derby winner, he finds more trouble in running at the mo (only a few runs and is a baby) than jordans kid in hampton court maze. Oh well theres always the 3 others at Crayford and the one at Sheffield i can back lol. (Dont ask why do you have a greyhound running at sheffield)
