If he couldnt be bothered to turn up, then let him go. I'm sure Fordy has someone lined up having known that there was a possibility Chippy may not return.

Id just come out and say hes released as he couldnt be bothered turning up.

Im sure we can get someone in who Andy believes is good enough and has more legs.

would be nice if sonny signs if he doesnt get a deal in the next couple of weeks. If he gets his head screwed on knuckles down and plays well then sides will look at him.

He knows Andy is going in the right direction.

I am sure Chippy was lots of money as well so it will help the budget. I thought he was poor under Smith (I know they all were, but he stood out). He was better under Andy.

Don't be too quick to stick the boot in (parden the pun!)

Don't forget it was Chippy who managed to get Gargan and Cobbs for Welling.

Not defending his behaviour but Carpenter has nearly always been held in high regard by former managers and colleagues in the game.

But he still has acted unprofessional in not talking to andy or turning up for training and you get judged on your actions.

I agree that he should have had the courtesy to let someone know - if he doesn't want to be with this seasons champions, then that's his look out.
