Lost 2-0, goals either half according to connie south scores.

It's a shame to go out, £2,000 prize money for going through, would have been nice to get a few more pennies in the coffers but some people might be glad we're out?

Gutless, pathetic performance against a poor Thurrck side. Must do better.

Worst I've seen Welling play since Fordy turned things round towards the tail end of last season.

Chris summed it up nicely.

I make that one goal (a penalty) in the last four games. I have only seen two of them (Bognor and Furrock) and, one header apart last night, we never looked like scoring.

Healy is a neat and tidy footballer but too similar in style to Sheringham. A couple of times he got near the goal last night he couldn't wait to pass the buck and he almost seemed frightened to shoot. We need some genuine pace up front or someone who will run behind the defence. Mucu is an option but I'm not sure he could perform that role.

A new bloke played wide right Rickel (sp) White who didn't really impress but it might have shaken Ellis up as he was probably our best player in the half an hour he played.

Fringe performers like Smith, Blackburn, Andrews and Pinnock all had a chance to stake a cliam last night for a regular spot and none of them took it.

A disappointing night all round.

not too concerned - it's a meaningless cup and the squad(by the sounds of it) was a mixture of players so were unlikely to set the world alight

3 points at eastleigh is the main thing for saturday - although will be a tough game

Not too concerned ??

There was £2k for the winners last night and maybe draws against the likes of AFC and Oxford in later rounds.

Hardly meaningless.

yeah but why put all of your effort into a meaningless(yes means nothing) cup game - fa cup has far more rewards and that's up next month plus who wants to be bogged down with useless mid-week fixtures for the next couple of months?

and after the farce of the grays game lasy year im pleased to say we are out of it - and the same will go for the kent and l.senior ones as well. fa trophy and fa cup the only cups i care about

but surely doing well in the league, fa cup are priorities and will bring in more cash in the long term - playing in these cups might bring a bit of short term financial gain but id rather save the squads legs and see them take us to a potential money-spinning run in the fa cup

Wingnut,
Champions elect AFC went out on Monday night to Champions elect Chelmo. Still totally agree a nice draw against a good conference side could have brought some money in. Even a local derby with the likes of Grays or Eurostar would have been nice. Still we always have the LSC and KSC to look forwards to

It's a shame that Welling got knocked out, as i can only make midweek games as i'm working the rest of the week and doing other stuff. As has already been said, at least there are other cups we can play for this season.
