Since moving from 4-4-2 at the start of the season to wingbacks we have looked solid at the back, but mis-firing up front, and results have suffered.
We have the best defence in the league based on goals conceeded, something I didnt think would be the case before the start of the season - but we lack goals.
Agered Kev. I reckon the reason for the switch was because we dont have a natural winger on the left as we do on the right with Ellis. But the players havent looked comfortable playing this system and the recent results show that.

might change when Mucu is fit I guess, but then I know you prefer him played up front. At the moment, when Craig or Ellis get the ball they have no over-lapping player, and have a wide midfielder and fullback to beat to get a cross in ..
So lets go 4-4-2 and leak goals? Obviously Forrdy thinks early in the season he wants to make us hard to beat and back the front men to score. I would leave it, Chances are being created they just need to put them away.
Always build from the back and the best defence in the league will pose problems for the opponents. Let Fordy get on with it hes aware of the problems. This is a New team. And we have a few injuries too. Try not to run before we can walk.

I see where you are coming from JGFC, and build from the back is the best way for any successful team, but, no offence, you havent seen the games this season. In many of these recent matches its been luck that we have not conceeded - so effectively we have been poor at both ends of the park/in both boxes.
Having said that, Ellis, Cobbs, Quinn, Martin across the middle has to be the best midfield in the league when on form. Quinn is a class above at this level, f**k knows how he played the whole season with AFC at the league below last year without being tempted away.
