Bumped into Jamie Day today at Crayford where his dog was somehow named as runner up when i thought it won. He was very diplomatic and in no way said i want to come back now but didnt rule out the possibilty of one day coming back to Welling and said if the situation arose and things were right for club and player he wouldnt discount a return.
I wonder if Andy fancies him as a player. I understand Daisy is on loan until May at Dartford and isnt working at Charlton anymore. Wouldnt it be nice if he came back home ASAP?

This has been discussed by lots of the behind the goals boys, and the club have pretty much confirmed he was there for the taking a month ago now that Grays appear to be happier to deal with Welling again.
Sadly, at the time when he was being touted around a month or so ago we didnt have the budget to take him even at a wage cut from what he was on with Grays ... and with a surplus of centre mids at the time, and lacking up front, I would suggest any spare money at that time was being reserved for that.
A month on, did we do the right thing ?? only time will tell I guess.
