Not the best of subjects to talk about I guess, but I lost my Dad on the 20th December. He lived in the same Council house in Dagenham for over 60 years and as I am the only surviving relative, it's been down to me and my better half to sort things out. Jeepers guys, 60 years of hoarding everything under the Sun and the bloody paperwork - my poor old shreader has been working overtime, same as me. The cremation is this Friday, so I'd like our beloved Wings to do the double over Bromley and put a smile on my face for the next day.
Cynical so sorry only just read your post. Like many others I tend not to read the off topics very often. My deepest sympathy to you. When my mother passed on a few years ago now I lived with her in a council poperty. My problem was that the council wanted to chuck me out as I was too old to be the councils responsibility and too young to be classed as an elderly orphan!I totally agree with you about the hording and can only say when I finally go to that great stadium in the sky my son will have a hell of a lot of tat to sort through. May I wish you (and all wings fans of course) a very happy and peacefull 2009
Nobody saw it mate, cos it only had a few views in the off topic section. You can be sure it would have had a hell of a lot of replies had it been in the main forum. One thing you know with Welling is when the chips are down people usually rally round.
Gutting news for you mate. i hope the wings put a smile on your face for a few seconds in a truly desperate time for you and your family.

My sympathies, a no of us will have been through the same pain that you I guess are feeling right now. Things cant be changed and everyone still misses there loved ones. However what you do have is memories-no one can take them away from you and they will always be with you.
After a while time does help heal the situation and you will remember the good times.
Take solice in the fact that people are feeling for you right now.
Thank you for all your kind replies and if I have offended anyone, I apologise. I hope to be at the next Wings home game against Stortford and would like to buy you guys a drink - sincerely. I'll try to get there and meet up with Mark X and Sidcup Graham in the bar. RWFAZ - unfortunately fella, I can't afford your air fair, but maybe one day when I win the Lotto
