Kedwell had to carry the team when he was here and they are two different types of players. Would love to see the two playing together, Kedwell winning battels and picking the ball up from midfield and Charlie putting then in from in and around the box, that would be nice. But to say Charlie is better than Kedwell is very harsh on Kedwell I think this squad is much better in terms of attacking quality all over the pitch, however Kedwells squad were stronger defensivley and winning the ball more in the middle in my humble opinion.
Was that Ryan who limped to the touchline right near the end of the game and was bleeding from his head? I'd taken my glasses off by then so couldn't make out who it was!! If it was you'vr got to feel sorry for the lad, it's all happening at once for him!
The team at the moment is probably the best we`ve had at PVR for a good few years. The balance of the side is so good. We have good or a very good player in each position and decent cover on the bench. I am enjoying watching this team play. A message to all the extra supporters who turned up on Thursday. You must of enjoyed that game! Come back to see the next home game. The more of you who turn up the better it will be for the team now and in the future. If we keep this squad together we will go places. Well done Andy Ford and Jimmy Dack. And well done Barry Hobbins!

Kedwell's not been at AFC all season though JGFC. Anyhow, both great players in their own way. How about this one then .... Kedwell up front with Sheringham and Boothy both playing behnd him in a three pronged, Chelsea style, forward line. Awesome.
Another factor is that we seemed to get many more penalties in Kedwell's day.
I do believe that they could play together.
Did Teddy ever play alongside Mark Hughes? That would be a possible comparison.
It was good to see both Charlie and Ming wanting to take the penalty. Confidence is key to converting successfully. Quinn showed his captaincy by deciding who would without any fuss.
In the car after the game New Years Day we discussed the merits of Andys team man for man against The Pennock Xi.
Whilst Adie did tend to go for the "Big Strong" player, the individuals themselves do seem to match up favourably with the current crop on a skill level as well !
When comparing the team that played Huddersfield with yesterdays Xi there arnt even many 50/50 swaps that we would make !
Does this mean that Andy & Jimmy are getting more out of an over performing squad than Adie & Phil did or has the standard of BSS football dropped considerably in the last 2 seasons ?

Kevin .... That attack would probably give Abbott, Robbins and Booker a run for their money. .
Boothy can go and >>>> off, he shook hands on coming back just to get a pay rise elsewhere, i had sympathy for why he left but not any more. Kedwell i would have back because although he wanted away he stayed to the end and he did at least move higher.
I wonder if he will be surplus at AFC in a few months.
