I'm not after sympathy here, but after losing my Dad and wanting and getting the Wings to beat Bromley again, I stupidly thought that someone with an ounce of decency might have replied to my thread. So I take it that you all have living relatives.. Give me a call when you lose somone.
...............and there's me thinking that the Wings fans were great.......yeah right

Cynical, I'm sure everyone has lost relatives and knows exactly what you have gone through. I for one feel for you and I'm glad that the team came up trumps over the xmas period...but don't tar everyone with the same brush or any brush for that matter. Until now i hadn't seen your original post and after having a little dig around see its in the 'off topic' section, in all honesty i don't read that section as from past experience it is usually full of spam about prediction leagues. And seeing that only 19 people had viewed your thread suggests most wings fans don't view that section either and havent seen you post!

Anyway chin up mate and lets hope the team can continue their good run at Basingstoke!

Hi Mate

You may or may not know that I lost both of my parents in the space of 2 months

That was two Christmas ago and I have to say that going to Welling games actually gave me something to look forward to and to think about

Not that I am any expert but if I could give 'any' advice it would be to to always find something to smile about or laugh about

We (myself and my sister) were constantly finding things that Mum and Dad had done or left behind or indeed the really stupid RED TAPE that you will have gone through or will have to go through to laugh about

Memories never go but remember with a smile

Will talk when I see you next

M

I never look at off topic either. I do know what it is like to lose a parent and to have sick relatives.

Hopefully Welling will give you some joy today at a dark time for you.

Thanks for the kind replies and I sincerely apologise if it sounded like a bad rant - I was unsure where to post the original thread and I guess the emotion of the day kicked in.
At least the Wings came good and did the double over Bromley .....................and.........I actually got a predication right for a change  smile.
Keep it up boys.  Just a shame that todays game was called off.

Come on you Wings.

My sympathies Cynical, there is never a good time to lose someone.

Though please don't make a habit of getting the Predictions right, I don't want you creeping up the table any closer to me, your only 3 points behind biggrin smile

Hey Cynical,

So sorry to hear of your dreadful news and you have my deepest sympathies. I would like to offer my condolences personally but, although i've no doubt i've seen your face around PVR, i don't actually know you are.......perhaps X can introduce us. There is (obviously) no good time to lose a loved one but there seems to be an unwritten rule/acceptance that it is worse around the Festive Season and having lost my Mum the day after Boxing Day 2001, i have an idea of the pain that you're suffering.

Chin up fella and hopefully a successful(ish) Wings can brighten the dull days.
