Just spoke with Hednesford and they are going to be holding a pitch inspection at the above time. When I quizzed him on conditions the gentleman replied "getting better".
That may be the important thing for those travelling by coach but not for those on early trains. A pitch inspection will take a while so I doubt if news will filter through until at least 9:00 by which time those on the 8:46 will be doomed to a long day if it is off.
This is not a criticism of Hednesford Town as they appear to be doing everything possible to ensure the game goes ahead and to get out notice as early as they can!
Do the inspection at 7am . horseracing do them even earlier in the morning. I think if they do this properly they still have a chance of getting 50 traveling for a midweek game. the other way is get more pitch blankets for friday...

The earlier they do it, the less chance of it being on surely?
Horseracing generally starts earlier than 3, I guess that's why the inspections are earlier....talking of which I'm off to Kempton saturday, any tips greatfully received ;o)
Just looked out the window and I think it's see you all Tuesday __________________ ------------------------------------------------------ Watching Hednesford Town can seriously damage your health
