Just looking ahead a few weeks, is there any chance that a coach can be arranged for Team Bath on the 7th Feb, looking at the trains it is a nightmare journey and the coach ride would be a steady 3hr. Im sure a few would be in.
How do you fancy having a go at organising it? There seem to be a fair few interested although it is not really my thing as I prefer the freedom of independant travel.
MarkX kindly administerd the Hednesford coach, and he was never going to use it.
I believe that if coach travel got off the ground, they could become popular but it won't happen without someone stepping up to the plate to arrange it. It would be great to see increased numbers at away games and I know that most of the players would appreciate it.
the trains are not that bad, it was just under 3 hours from Paddington when we went this year. We always meet as a group to get the 4 for 2 deals so if a few of you arranged to meet and go together you can get your tickets for around £15-18 if i remember rightly which is bound to be cheaper than a coach
Totally agree as the Bexleyheath line is closed between Kidbrooke and St. Johns with a replacement bus running. Have looked at both the Woolwich and Sidcup lines and they seem to be ok. If you can get to either of these lines it would work out a lot quicker. The advance single from Passington to Bath is shown as £13.50 on First Great Westerns website.
or you could get the 486 to North Greenwich and the tube to Baker Street which would take the same mount of time as going to Charing Cross and getting the tube, from there you get another tube to Paddington, there are a few different ways to get there and all take around the same amount of time
Wheres travelly bob when you need him. or is Mark the new travelly bob? if people ewant a coach just say so on the forum or and contact mark or barrie and if theres demand and they cover the cost i am sure it will happen. Trains are insanely cheap if booked in advance and you have the freedom to go for a beer when and where you want and have a bevvy on the train which you cant do on the coaches.

Coach v train is a case of swings and roundabouts. If the match gets postponed you lose your money and I'm sure that if people wanted a post match drink as opposed to a night on the town there could be a bit of negotiation and the coach could leave a bit later (might put the price up a bit though.)
Long haul midweek trips make a choice a no brainer unless you want an overnight stay.

Just heard if you were are planning to go to the North Greenwich way there is no service on the jubilee line between Stratford and Green Park until 12.30 only a replacement bus service,
