Funny, I was just commenting on Saturday that Masters always looked miserable and was straight off the pitch after games. No loss in my eyes, let's hope Mitten does the business.
Just an opinion. Masters was at fault for two of the goals in the game at your place and certainly wasn't blameless for our first on Saturday too. Coupled that his kicking was poor and barely was able to mumble anything audible - you look to have made the right move. Also, possibly the most miserable keeper I've ever seen, although judging by his fall from a fairly lofty perch when moving from Slough (?) to Brentford (?), hardly surprising.
Well Masters was Ok in his first few games and has of late made a few mistakes. He will do well to get regular football in the league. I think he made a few **** ups at Stevenage last season as well.
As for Mitten I think he's a stop gap. From what I recall last time round he was injured most of the time and couldn't take goal kicks. However he wasn't dreadful for us but he is a few years older now.
Folkestone and played well but they let him go to bring in an outfielder as their budget is tight. Cugley praised Charlie and said hes played well and been a good influence on the team. Mitten has been there got the tshirt and would have been ok for us and as it is now is an excellent back up. Wilko got decent press when at PVR before so must be a good signing, Well done Fordy!
