"Baker is a great player. We can get the ball up to him and build from there; we have been missing that big player up front," Dack said. "He didn't want to leave, but the attraction of playing for the team at the top of the table and his local side was too much."
Sorry Jimmy but that is utter bool5**** , and i cant find what Fordy said when he left but it wasnt that he didnt want to leave!!!
Baker has had more clubs than sergio garcia and walked out on us. Ok weve signed him back so we hope he does the business... to win over most of the fans he better catch sheringham up. But to come out and say he didnt want to leave LOL!!! perleeeeeeeeease dont try and mug off the fans james or be economical with the truth.
This clubs fans dont particularly "love" players that eff off when someone waives a fiver in his boat... PS if he didnt want to leave he would have signed a contract!!!
rant over... now get on with scoring baker you judas and prove this club means something to you other than a fist of cash. YOU OWE US

Isn't it about time you got off the fence JGFC and tell us what you think!!! Seriously I can't argue with anything you have said. He has to perform otherwise I am afraid that it will reflect very badly on Andy. Reminds me of the Ellis Green sitution and look how he took the p1ss out of us and how it all ended.
Now I am not (often) in agreement with Thomas but I agree 100% with his sentiments on this issue.
Baker has only come back to Welling because his "local" club don't rate him any more and therefore don't want to pay him any more. Then suddenly he professes his love for all things Welling ?! Do us a favour and lets have some honesty towards the supporters.
This is not too dissimilar to the Danny Chapman scenario of a few years back and we know the reception he gets anytime he sets foot inside Park View Road.
I'm going to beg to differ on this one and would like to praise Ford (for once) for not getting too precious and bringing Baker back. The key thing for me is whether Baker can be an asset for us and based on the evidence of first time round my answer is yes.
And if you are like that with players you get a team of mercinaries who couldnt give a toss about the club or the fans and other players see they can take the p1ss in my opinion.
As i said before he is hardly prolific is he?

Spitey i do see where you are coming from but it does seem to send a message out.
Without wishing to start world war III, After speaking to Ruthers at his benefit match (traveled from Birmingham to attend) i said you staying with us next season? Yes mate why would i leave... weeks later off to chelmsford for a few dollars more and returned to us with an injured knee when they didnt want him anymore!
Of course ruthers gave years of service before shyting on us and returning when it suited him.

Compare this with people like Ian Cousins, who when he was injured... Ripped up his contract. Tony Batteredsausage... cant play heart defect but can be paid and the following 2 seasons play for more clubs than a full set of callaways!
People are judged by their actions, lets not lower our standards to accept being used and shat on. Weve been there before.
