If Duncan has agreed it's a great coup as i'm pretty sure (obviously for older/longer sufferers, lol) he would be in most peoples top five Wings legends.
Whilst on the subject of tonight....yes, it will be good to get a big crowd to help with the WSU's fundraising and yes, it will be good to get a big crowd to help the club with bar takings but more importantly is to give these Legends the big crowd they deserve.
Thanks Copes, Lenny, Rambo, Duncan and Wayne I'm sure all those who attended enjoyed the evening of reminisces of the Conference (and later) days. Today's players could learn a lot about the team ethic and its benefits from you guys.

The dissapointting thing for me was the turnout. I counted less than thirty people in the bar. The WSU cannot have made much from it, (thanks to Matt & co for organising) but maybe that was not the intention. From the players point of view it must take something away from the night with so few in support.
On this basis I dont know how many more we would run, enjoyable though the evening was.
Just wanted to thank everyone for organising a great evening last night. Was amazing to see those true legends there. It bought back many happy memories. (Copes, as 50% of the female attendance I can verify that the ladies DID want to be there!) Apologies for not being able to come up with an entertaining question, but it would have involved players legs probably and I think Wayne would have won! Thanks again guys. x BGB
Next legends match have the evening straight after that. Bung 2 quid on the gate have a disco thing for after the legends questions and answer or something.
Slight change on the format? Well done all for arranging it. And the legends for turning up.

Yes, that is a good idea, JG, which we'll bear in mind for any such future event.
To those of you who missed the Legends Night, people I've spoken to rated it one of the best there's been despite a disappointing turnout. With that in mind, can I mark your cards for the next few WSU events from now until the end of the season:
Thursday 5th March - March WSU meeting (to which all, of course, are welcome). Friday 6th March - March Quiz Night, Wings Bar - (register your team NOW! at the WSU desk ouitside the Club Shop on matchdays or by ringing 07836 577940). Saturday 14th March (6pm) - Race Night, Wings Bar (after the Hampton game at PVR). Friday 3rd April - April Quiz Night, Wings Bar Saturday 25th April - End of Season presentation evening at Flamingo Park, Sidcup. Friday 1st May - May Quiz Night, Wings Bar.
Your attendance at these events is much appreciated and contributes hugely to the team and towards other ground improvements, as well as hopefully building the momentum for next season as well.
We look forward to seeing you at hopefully one of the above events.
