I hope that's a joke. Do you remember where we were when he took over last year?
Are you for real? What did Ming do? take it out on him fine.
Wilko made two howlers at Hampton and fordy dropped him as he has Charlie, you may find that hes decided to play andrews and sinclair in the middle rather than have andrews at full back. Protheroe isnt fit is he? If he was he would probably play full back.
Normally a point would be acceptable but in our poor run its not a lot of help. Dont cry if we dont reach the play offs this year, Andy will have had a good look at the league, the players and know who has let him down and can try to keep those that are good eough to challenge and off load the others.

Anonymous you seem to be very much a minority voice.
Sanchez is still young and has a lot to learn about being a team player. If he doesn't learn soon I fear he will become another Ellis Green.
There has been a degree of chopping and changing in the side partly due to injury, partly due to new signings and what would appear to be a rather unforgiving attitude from Fordy to poor performances which could be his way of testing the metal of the players. I must admit that in my book Sanchez and Charlie Sheringham (do I hear shouts of heresy?) seem to have been given a bit more rope than others.
As far as the play offs go they do look a bit distant at the moment but as I said many months ago this should be a year of consolidation.
In my book the biggest faux pas made by Fordy was releasing JT but its all about opinions.
As a matter of interest I have compared Ady and Fordy's first full seasons and there is not a great deal of difference to date as the graph below shows.

Can't agree there as Turner only survived by managers being changed before they changed him.
I know you are not the only one who holds this view now but with JT it tended to be the bigger the game, the bigger the mistake, so instead of getting your disappointment now you could easily have got it on a crunch game at the end of the season.
The revolving goalkeeping door hasn't helped and a permanent keeper needs to be in place next season and if it is someone who may be not as technically good as Turner but can organise and command those in front of them better to reduce what he has to do, that'll be just fine by me.
On a different tack, Herr Anonymous, you forgot to say bring back Parker and Neil Smith.... or make it a dream team with Hales as Director Of Football. (Now who would you aim your vitriol at in that little triumvirate!)
What can't be denied is that JT was in goal for 7 of the 9 clean sheets in the league (we haven't had one since he was dropped in favour of Masters 3 months ago) and the only significant difference in the defence has been the addition of Protheroe.
Again in my opinion based on the matches I have seen this season he marshalled those in front of him better than any of his successors including the professional keeper.

And, although I wasn't there, the one recent game people observed on a faux pas for JT was the Wimbledon game, which would probably be one of the bigger games.
A bit like David James in a way. You know the next error is there somewhere but does he win you more games in the mean time than he loses and when he does make the error, does it prove crucial. Unfortunately JT was not very lucky\skillful in getting away with his.
With Jamie around we were not confident so defended deeper to protect....with a new keeper we have been more confident and have played out of defence in a different way thus exposing our goal more
JT was a weakness not a strength. Unfortunately in his position mistakes are highlighted and, whilst he could make some excellent saves, he made far too many errors for a team trying to reach the play offs.
As for the "Ford and Ming" attack earlier in this thread words fail me. Ming made a mistake and it cost us a goal. He is immature on the pitch at times. He is also NOT a full back but was perhaps our best attacker in the second half. Had we taken the chances we created that goal conceded would have been merely a consolation. Their keeper had a blinder but, in truth, shouldn't have been given a prayer of saving a couple of those chances. If we are critical of anyone on Saturday it would be our forwards for missing gilt edged chances.
The way the team performed second half was more than encouraging. Also to see the dejection after the Braintree goal and the way they kept going to equalise spoke volumes for their character. it is a young team who will make mistakes but there is the makings of a decent side (with a good manager) who will win plenty of games if they repeat the second half showing from Saturday.
I can be critical of players, selection etc...etc...but I can't be critical if they can turn in performances like that on a regular basis.
Not sure playing deep was due to a lack of confidence in JT but whatever the case may have been we kept a significant number of clean sheets and playing the ball out of defence and getting caught out when they move up the pitch I would suggests has resulted in us conceding more goals than JT's errors.
I have to say that if our front men's performance was measured on the basis of golden chances missed (surely the equivalent of a goalkeeper errors) we would be somewhat threadbare up top. Are 2 points dropped in the Wimbledon any worse than 2 points dropped to Dorchester at home, the 2 points dropped to Newport away, the 2 points dropped to Hampton away, or the 2 points dropped to Braintree away - all games in which we had numerous opportunities to score. Before anyone bites I'm not suggesting we move them out on this basis but just trying to bring what in my opinion is a comparable yardstick into the debate.
I do seem to be somewhat isolated as far as my opinion of JT is concerned but hey ho its academic since for better or worse he has gone.

i overheard protheroe talking to braintrees keeper after the game on saturday he lives locally in greenwich maybe we could get him for next year as he was outstanding on sat we should have one by 5 or 6 goals
Craig Holloway is local and rated as one of the best keepers in non league by many - you don't get an FA Youth Cup winners with Arsenal and sign pro terms for them without having something special. Even he has a few put past him on occasion - most notably when John Main put 3 past him in Wimbledon's 5-1 win earlier this season. He also let in 4 against Bath and 3 against Weston the Saturday before last (Why couldn't his off day have been a week later)

Maybe because our super forwards couldn't find the back of the net. We need someone to score goals on a regular basis, Sheringham and Judas Baker are not performing to their abilities.

You don't spend over 3 years in a team's goal as Jamie Turner did by being a mug. Fact is our defensive record has gone to pot since his departure. Masters was a disaster and young Wilkinson has now had to be replaced by the evergreen Charlie Mitten. Ford's doing a great job but have not always been convinced by his man management.

No, but can if the manager changes at the point they were about to boot you out and the next bloke decides that they are going to look at the encumbent.
He is not a bad goalkeeper but it is probably better for both him and us that we both had a fresh start in the long run. There could hardly have been said to have been supporter outrage when he left.

Maybe its time to go and get a mid 30s keeper thats benchwarming in the league or being replaced. Its worked for us before and worked for plenty of others. At least you are getting experience and they have been there done it.
I know keepers like Barron dont come along all the time, but there must be a handfull of veteral ex league keepers around in close season
A Hyde, A Harrison, A Barron, A Martyn etc etc and a few do drift into non league.
Possibly the way to go rather than 3 keepers a season as we have been for a while even with JT here, its loan loan loan.
Time to get a veteran in whos big, ugly and knows what hes doing and have a kid understudy and play senior cups, reserves and train with the number 1 IMO.
