I just hope we didn't pick up too many knocks from that bunch of thugs.
For these games we need a strong referee and this one was as weak and useless as they come. They must have changed the rules that say you can now punch three players before you get sent off. No 9 should have had a red without doubt for punching two.
It also seemsclear that you can now barge someone in the back inside the box and get away with it.
Brilliant performance from Welling today. Possibly the best we've played this season.
Good win but sadly looking at the table the play offs look a bit out of reach. Even a fantastic points total of 74 (which would mean play-offs every other Conference South year) probably won't be enough.
The only team that we have a hope in hell of catching (Hayes) have a run in of
we have every chance of the playoffs and we seem to have hit form at the perfect time - if we can get a point from wimbledon and beat maidenhead and try to win our remaining home games that should see us to the playoffs
we have to stop looking at other team's results and concentrate on our own and the rest will take care of itself and either way finishing the season on a high is important regardless of making the playoffs or not
Great performance from the lads today. Charlie's first half save came at a critical time and Jack Parkinson's goal was the icing on the cake. Well done lads.

The thing is we need to to rely on other team's results and even if we have a fantastic end to the season and take 21 out of 27 points the chances are very high it won't be enough. That's just the reality.

the point i was trying to make was the fac that there is nothing we can do about other teams results so just try to concentrate on our own performances as constantly looking can be counter-productive and put more pressure on us for results
we should just try to finish the season on a high but teams above us WILL drop points so we just need to be in and around to take advantage oif the slip ups
What a great performance against a team who are 2nd in our league (honestly, how are they 2nd?!). I brought along a who supports a League 1 team so isn't used to non league football and he was impressed at a lot of our play. 1st half was fantastic from goalkeeper to attack. But it just frustrates to see a team who are so high up the league (honestly, 2nd?) resort to kicking lumps out of a team who are clearly in charge of the match. Their number 6 should have walked. Admittedly Quinny could have gone after kicking out at one of their players but only after being on the end of a tackle that was intended for the man not the ball. And their goalkeeper. I understand he was a bit of a gob****e last month at the their ground, so how I chuckled every time he was subjected to taunts of 'chubby keeper' and 'you fat b@stard'. Oh, and at the start of the 2nd half when some young scallywag offered him a bar of chocolate through the goal net only to yank it away as he was about to take it! Hahaha!

I thought he did ok. He was not conned by their diving and constant back chat. I didn't see any punches thrown but I assume it was in the handbags situation. I think Quinn got away with a kick during that and was surprised that it was Blackburn who received a yellow card.
In the referees defence, he spoke to both linesmen before making his decision.
What I liked was that Welling did not get sucked into their game. I guess they learned from the previous game.
It looks like inconsistency has been our main problem this season. If we don't quite make the play offs, the majority of this squad should be kept if affordable as I believe they are capable of a big push next season.
The linesmen on the "Erith" side was very friendly and happy to chat with fans. He said he was surprised that they players had stayed on the field. He said the ref. asked for both of their opinions, he named two players and assumed both would get red cards. I thought the ref did ok generally though and having an assistant who was willing to talk about decisions etc was a nice change.
I thought it was an excellent performance yesterday. I thought the whole team were outstanding.
agree. He was one of the best midfielders in the league last season and we seem to have tried to make a full back out of him. Whilst effective I would prefer to see him back in the middle
Too right. Our late last season good form and early good form this season game with Sonny in center mid. We are now picking up with Arter in center midfield. He has an excellent goals to game ratio when playing in the middle. I've insisted he should be playing there for a while and hopefully he will now with this new system.
But who are we going to play at Lb if he moves to midfield? Fordy's buying has been hit and miss and Hurrell isn't a propor LB. Let's not 4get that we have 4 very good centre midfielders at the moment and I think that adding Cobbs to the midfield would not utilise the full potential of the sqaud.
