Please support his benefit match and enjoy watching the Wings legends take on Charlton's Former Players once again.

Tony Reynolds
Gary Abbott
Terry Robbins
Ricky Bennett
Jo Francis

Two further names added to the Welling Vets squad Robin Trott and Terry Skiverton.

I will post details of the Charlton Athletic Former Players Association squad as soon as I have them.

The Charlton Athletic Former Players Association squad is

Lee Hayward
Michael Paye
Mark Penfold
Richard Wilson
Colin Walsh
Paul LInger
Peter Garland
Paul Gorman
Garry Nelson
Tony Booth
Dave Ridgeon
Mark Robson
Mark Kinsella
Andy Jones
Steve Gritt
Leroy Ambrose
Peter Shaw
John Humphrey
Simon Webster

The latest news on Dereck is that 5 months later he is only now nearing a return to work following the injury he sustained which led to the abandonment of this Vets fixture back in October. Dereck's injury was sustained taking part in a fund raising event organised by the WSU and not being able to work has had a significant impact on him financially hence all parties agreeing that the match would be a benefit match for him when it was played.

There will be a raffle at the game and the prizes will include a signed Welling shirt and a signed Charlton Shirt

If the match is half as entertaining as the one which had to be abandoned nobody will walk away disappointed so lets all try and turn out for the match, buy a few raffle tickets and have a great night. What better way is there of repaying Dereck for his commitment to the Club.

Bloody hell

Inchy , Abbo, Skivvo

Might pencil this is as every penny that Del Boy gets will be well deserved not only for is past service as Player/Coach but for his support of the WSU fund raising match where he got injured.

James if you do a DVD i will pledge to cover the match admission and DVD price for it so you can take your costs and donate the rest to Del Boy.

Maybe a few others would like a dvd of the game with excess money going to Del? Might get him a few more quid IF james isnt overwise engaged.

It's a great idea but I just don't have the time any more to produce DVDs. That's why I stopped doing them for the First Team, just lack of time.

Unlike a lot of other clubs who have one person filming, one person updating the website, one producing DVDs, interviews etc, etc they can spread the load but as I do everything myself so trying to fit a project like this in would be hard.

I do plan to film the Kent Senior Cup Final but only to provide the highlights as usual and not a DVD.

I could film the Dereck Brown game and just upload free highlights but that's not really the aim of this match.

Sorry for not being able to do this but instead I urge you to attend :)

Apparently the TV puts a couple of pounds extra on you so I'm happy to swerve this although it is a cracking idea.

I think to get as many people there as possible would be great so please keep selling the game to everyone.

See you on the night.
