I have just spoken to somebody at the conference to try and get some news on the Hampton ground grading.
They told me that an "official decision will be made over the weekend and that a statement will be released on their website early next week".
Surely they must know by now!
It is unfair on the fans who have to make travel arrangements at the last minute for the game on Tuesday night, although I understand that if we were to get into the playoffs the first leg would be at home.
Let's just start by beating Newport on Saturday and see where it takes us!!

RE: I have just phoned the Conference........................
Well all we can do is win Saturday and see what happens, lets get a big crowd in on Sat and cheer the boys on as what ever happens they have had a excellent season.
my gut feeling tells me the league will let hampton go into the playoffs as they would have told them earlier if they werent allowed(like maidenhead) so they will allow hampton to break all the rules

"To qualify for promotion to the Football Conference Premier Division by winning the respective NORTH/SOUTH Championship and for the club to participate in the promotion play off matches, the ground must achieve a Category B Grading together with 500 seats under cover by 1st April in each season.
These seats may be in two locations. The seating in the main stand or if seating is in two locations it must provide adequate viewing for spectators as defined in The Guide to the Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide).
Temporary structures are not acceptable for seating to gain promotion or to take part in the promotion play off matches, unless the club can show that it has obtained planning permission and has the detailed plans to construct a permanent covered seated stand, which may form part of the required total number of 500 seats".
