Just like one of the other chaps on here I rang the Conference on Thursday and was advised that an announcemet will be made after the weekend. I know that seems ridiculous as indeed is this whole sorry saga but that was what I was told.

Sadly I sense that the style of the post is one that seems genuine and does sound as if he /she has definitely been advised it by a club official.   What you have to say is why oh why is it not on there offical site????

The way in which rules have been clearly breached by Hampton but with them still allowed to take part in the play offs is a total shambles as indeed is the total lack of communication to the thousands who follow the non league game to reaonably know aht is going on.

Clearly they should be sued (as they will have cost the denied clubs revenue), but they know that will be like an employee suing the employer they still work for and therefore highly unlikely.

Unfortuantely it is the likelihood of "getting away" with it factor that can be the only rerason why the league have come down in favour of allowing a team with a below total capacity, and below seating capiacitty ground that suffered a pitch invasion at the last home match and is still to receive planning permission for its improvement

What a total and utter disgrace

They're not below capacity and they're not below seats.

The rule that I fail to see in anyway they can pass is the bit about temporary structure only being allowed (which they have in order to have the correct amount of seats) if they have planning permission, which they don't.

Looking at the Bath city fans forum
They are a lot more accepting and less angry about this whole saga then we are
Maybe we should stop complaining at THIS POINT until the official statement is released

thats because we are in pole position - if they overtake us today then expect them to get angry

and on the point of waiting until the decision if it's next week then they have to be letting hampton into the playoffs - they cant turn round on tuesday and say hampton arent in them and we have about 5 hours to prepare for a big playoff match

im spiting mad over this [Edited] - football is more corrupt than policits and hampton will never go up even if they win the plaoffs but will make a fortune through gate receipts and i reckon that's what this is all about

Let's  (especially J, who seems like he is going to EXPLODE)

(1) Come 7th.
(2) Get proper offical confirmation that Hampton are in the play offs.
(3) Go mental

Seems a bit silly to go nuts right now when when none of the above are facts. Let it happen first.

Although, whatever happens there has been a lot of wrongs in this fiasco, I don't think it's worth getting worked up unless it is going to 100% effect us.

lol but i am so angry over this - we all know football is corrupt but it usually doesnt affect us at this level but this is directly affecting us

plus i hate teams like hampton and their **** football so it makes me angrier to see a team like that do well anyway (like histon a couple of years ago and all the conference teams moan about them as well)

I think some people, me included are outraged that the temporary stand has been allowed, and they have had a months extension on time ...plus the sheer incompetence of the conference board.

The fact its not even announced yet a few days before the play off first leg is a shambles.

I know we tried to sneek in the back door, but we really are (if we win today) the rightfull holders of the play off spot. True we probably should have had the points needed to get in them automatically, we do appear to have been robbed by an incompetent, dithering league board where things could appear to some UNDERHANDED.

It has provided exitement to the last game and at least the talk of promotion or possibility of it has truly returned to Welling.

As i said before, win it next season and then they cant cheat us out of the play offs (teams or league board)

Decision now, on the last day of the season, confirmed by the Conference in a very bald statement with no explanation of the reason for the delay until the last possible moment. They are fully aware of the press and fora comments yet they fail to recognise them - what a bunch of clowns.

Wholeheartedly agree with you JgFc on the feeling of the fans and the points made about Welling in your post.

Oh what fun next season promises to be with Dover and quite probably Tonbridge Angels joining us in the Connie South.

Tonbridge will be an easy 6 points. Dover 2 big gates and games but can they sustain it? Or do another drop down the leagues or a Fisher or Maidenhead or Hornchurch etc etc.

We have nothing at all to fear next year from any team. Let AFC and Chelmo go up and stop having penis envy about clubs with bigger budgets. Andy has proved this year he can compete and it was more down to lack of experience and a bit of bottle that cost us. Both should be improved next season and with 3 or 4 released and 3 or 4 brought in we have every reason to feel we can go 2 or 3 places higher next season and have a decent cup run.
